Match Number Two: Baron Corbin versus Tye Dillinger

Dillinger with a waist lock and Corbin backs him into the turnbuckles. Dillinger with a side head lock and he holds on. Corbin blocks a snap mare and Dillinger with a running forearm. Corbin misses a kick and Tye with a chop. Corbin with a punch. Corbin with a forearm and he sends Dillinger into the turnbuckles. Corbin slides around the ring post and Dillinger with a jumping boot and clothesline to send Corbin over the top rope to the floor.

Dillinger comes off the apron and Corbin catches him by the throat. Dillinger escapes and kicks Corbin. They return to the ring and Tye comes off the turnbuckles. Corbin catches Dillinger and then sends him to the floor. Corbin with End of Days for the three count.

Winner: Baron Corbin

WWE Title Six Pack Challenge: AJ Styles  vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin vs. John Cena

Cena hit an AA to everyone except for Styles, who stood there watching it all. They lock up and Cena hit a shoulder block. Styles with some kicks then they traded right hands. Cena went for the AA but Styles blocked and hit a series of kicks. Cena went for it again but AJ blocked and landed on the apron. The other superstars got on the apron and circled Cena. They all jumped him and tossed him to the floor. This led to everyone brawling.

Styles rolled up Corbin for 2 then sent him to the floor. AJ rolled up Zayn for 2 then sent him to the floor. Owens with a knee strike and went for his powerbomb finisher but that was blocked and hit a facebuster to KO. AJ with a series of strikes to Corbin then a neck breaker to Ziggler. AJ with a strike to Zayn and a reversed DDT off the second rope for 2 as KO broke it up. Owens put the boots to him and went to the top rope but AJ knocked him down. Owens fought back and Corbin sent AJ to the floor. Corbin with a big boot to Zayn but Cena clotheslines Corbin and Ziggler hit a DDT to Cena. Owens with a splash off the top rope to Ziggler for 2 as AJ broke it up. AJ and Owens exchanged hands. AJ caught him with a head kick and went for his finisher but Owens hit a back drop to AJ to the floor. Corbin hit a backbreaker to Owens and Ziggler hit a Zig Zag to Corbin. Cena with a series of shoulder blocks and then the side slam. Cena hit another side slam to Zayn.

Cena with double knuckle shuffles to both stars. Cena went for the AA to Ziggler but he blocked and hit the famouser. Ziggler missed a super kick and Cena locked in the STF but AJ broke it up. AJ went for the Styles Clash to Cena but it was blocked and Cena went for the AA but it was blocked. AJ hit his finisher for 2 as Zayn broke it up. Zayn with right hands to AJ until Corbin hit him with a knee strike and sent him to the apron. Zayn sent him head first into the turnbuckle but was knocked down by a right hand when he went for a spring board move. Corbin with a big time clothesline to Owens. Corbin with Deep Six to AJ then blocked a DDT to Ziggler and went for End of Days but Ziggler sent him to the floor. Corbin dragged him out and sent him over the barricade. Corbin speared Ziggler through the glass setup for hockey games. Back at ringside, Owens got two announce tables ready but AJ caught him with a head kick. AJ clotheslines Zayn over the barricade.

Shane McMahon watched on from ringside. Cena went for an AA to Owens but Owens got out of it. AJ ran up on the table and Cena hit an AA to AJ through the table. Back in the ring, Owens hit a big boot to Cena then Zayn took out Cena. Zayn and Owens had a stare down then started to argue. Zayn laid down in the middle of the ring in order for Owens to pin him and Owens acted on it but Zayn rolled him up for 2. Owens tossed him into the barricade. Back in the ring, Owens went for a powerbomb on the apron but Zayn back dropped him on the apron. Zayn started taunting Shane and Owens went for a super kick to Zayn but hit Shane my mistake. Zayn hit a DDT to Owens on the floor.

Zayn went for a big boot to Owens but Owens hit him with a super kick. Owens with a powerbomb to Ziggler for 2 but Shane pulled the referee out of the ring. Zayn hit Owens with a big boot for 2 as Shane pulled out the referee once again. Ziggler pinned Owens for 2. Corbin hit Cena in the face with the steel steps then to Zayn and Ziggler and Owens. Cena hit Corbin several times with the steel steps. Cena hit the AA to Corbin on the steel steps but the pin was broken up by Ziggler. Cena launched the steel steps but missed Ziggler. Cena with the AA to Ziggler then went for another one but Owens hit a powerbomb to Cena. AJ with a springboard forearm shot to Owens for the win.

Winner: Styles

Match Number One: Sami Zayn versus Baron Corbin

They lock up and Zayn pats Corbin on the chest on a break and goes to the floor. Sami with a shoulder from the apron and he flips over Corbin but Corbin with a shoulder tackle and Zayn goes to the floor. Corbin follows and Zayn with punches. Zayn sends Corbin into the announce table. Zayn punches Corbin and goes for a slingshot move but Corbin with an uppercut to send Zayn to the floor. Corbin sends Zayn into the ringside barrier and then Zayn back drops Corbin over the ringside barrier and into the crowd.

We see Shane McMahon asking Daniel Bryan why Kevin Owens is allowed to do commentary. Daniel says that Kevin is contributing. Shane suggests that Kevin will get involved in the match.

Meanwhile, the match continues and Zayn goes back into the ring to break up the count. They return to the ring and Zayn with punches and crossfaces. Zayn with a reverse chin lock. Corbin gets Zayn on his back and snap mares Zayn to escape the hold. Zayn with a drop toe hold to send Corbin into the ropes. Zayn with kicks and he chokes Corbin. Zayn with a punch and Corbin punches back. Zayn with a front face lock and Corbin blocks a suplex attempt. Corbin suplexes Zayn. Zayn with punches to Corbin. Corbin runs Zayn into the turnbuckles but Zayn with a back elbow and boot.

Zayn with a double jump cross body for a near fall. Zayn with a reverse chin lock. Corbin with punches and Zayn with a forearm.

Shane is back watching the match with Daniel and Shane has popcorn. Daniel talks about Kevin’s commentary and Shane does not appear to care.

Back to the match and Zayn comes off the turnbuckles but Corbin catches Zayn and hits a Chokebreaker. Zayn punches Corbin from the turnbuckles and tries for a tornado DDT but Corbin stops Zayn. Corbin slides around the ring post and hits a clothesline for a near fall. Corbin charges at Zayn and Zayn drops down and Corbin goes over the top rope to the floor. Corbin hot shots Zayn on the announce table.

Corbin has some words for Owens and then Corbin returns to the ring. Zayn with an inside cradle for a near fall. Zayn with a tornado DDT for a near fall.

Dolph Ziggler attacks Kevin Owens and hits a super kick. Zayn with a back elbow but Corbin with End of Days for the three count.

Winner: Baron Corbin

After the match, Ziggler hits a Zig Zag on Corbin.

Speaking of the other guy in the match, Baron Corbin makes his way to the stage.
Baron says if you were going to say that he could beat Baron, he will stop AJ before he makes a fool of himself.  Baron says the last time they met in the ring, he beat AJ.  He beat him for the United States Championship and then he beat AJ in their rematch.  Baron says he has AJ’s number because there is a major difference between them.  You are just an athlete, while Baron says he is a fighter.  He will enjoy pinning AJ for the title, or he can pin someone else because there will be nothing that AJ can do about it.
You are looking at the new WWE Champion.
Kevin Owens comes out to the stage.  Kevin says AJ will not have to worry about running around the ring because you will be going through the announce table thanks to a pop up power bomb.  He tells Baron that he did not look too strong last week when he was down on the floor.
Baron reminds Kevin that he took care of Kevin when he got back to his feet.
Kevin reminds Baron that he was given his chance on a silver platter.  Shane’s vendetta helped Baron.  Shane has a vendetta against Kevin ever since the Head butt Heard Round the World and he has had to work for everything on Smackdown.
AJ tells Kevin he looks great and if he got that boil lanced off his back.
Kevin wants to know what AJ is talking about.
AJ says he was talking about Sami Zayn.
Kevin says he does not need Sami.  Sami let him down last week because he had no time to prepare for Baron Corbin and Sami had all night to get ready for Dolph Ziggler.  Shane wants to catch Kevin off guard.
Shane McMahon comes out and he bounces on the stage.  He says there is a lot of talk emenating from this ring.  We do not want talk tonight in Phoenix.  We want action.  Baron Corbin will face AJ Styles tonight.  Kevin, you will get to see if you can do what your best friend could not do last week.  You will have your match now.

Baron Corbin says that people say he is arrogant, smug, and cocky.  He says that he is better than AJ Styles.  At Fastlane, you will know him as the new WWE Champion.

Match Number Five:  AJ Styles versus Baron Corbin in a Non Title Match
Corbin pokes Styles and Styles with a kick and punches.  Corbin sends Styles into the corner but AJ escapes and he chops Corbin and sends him into the turnbuckles.  Styles with shoulders but Corbin with a clothesline after blocking an Irish whip.  Dolph Ziggler stands next to a monitor in the back as Styles is sent into the turnbuckles.  Styles with chops but Corbin with a punch and he sends Styles over the top rope but Styles lands on the apron.  Corbin blocks a sunset flip and Styles with a drop kick.  Styles with a flying forearm and Corbin goes to the floor.
Styles is caught by Corbin on a pescado and Corbin hits a choke breaker as we go to commercial.
We are back and Styles with a forearm but Corbin with a forearm.  Corbin slides around the ring post and returns to the ring with a clothesline for a near fall.  Corbin with a half nelson and chin lock.  Styles with elbows to escape and Corbin with a waist lock.  Styles runs Corbin into the turnbuckles.  Corbin misses a shoulder into the corner and hits the ring post.  Corbin falls to the floor.  Styles with a baseball slide to Corbin and then he hits a running knee to the head on the apron.
Corbin throws Styles over the announce table but Styles bounces back and hits a Phenomenal Forearm for a near fall.   Corbin with a punch but Styles with strikes.  Corbin with a power slam for a near fall.  Corbin punches Styles in the corner and then puts AJ on the turnbuckles.  Corbin with forearms but Styles with head butts to knock Corbin back to the mat.  Styles leaps over Corbin and then Corbin with Deep Six for a near fall.
Corbin sets for End of Days but Styles floats over and applies the Calf Crusher.  Corbin slams Styles’ head into the mat.  Corbin sends Styles to the apron and Corbin grabs Styles when AJ goes for a springboard move.  Styles with a forearm and then he hits the Phenomenal Forearm for the three count.
Winner:  AJ Styles
After the match, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn attack AJ Styles.  Zayn slaps Styles.  Corbin with End of Days to Zayn while Owens tries to adjust the announce table.  Kevin Owens also gets End of Days.

Baron Corbin comes in and he talks about Daniel Bryan giving Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn another chance because it should be his.  Baron asks if Shane is still a McMahon.
Tye points out how Baron lost his Money in the Bank cash in.  Shane says we settle things in the ring and that will happen tonight.

Match Number Three:  Tye Dillinger versus Baron Corbin 
Dillinger with a thrust kick and Corbin goes to the floor.  Dillinger sends Corbin into the ringside barrier.  Dillinger with a punch to Corbin and he sends Corbin into the ring.  Dillinger with a chop in the corner and punches.  Corbin with a knee to the head and he punches Dillinger.  Corbin with an Irish whip and splash into the corner.  Dillinger with forearms and a kick.  Corbin with a punch and Dillinger goes down.  Dillinger is thrown over the top rope to the floor.
Dillinger is sent into teh ringside barrier and then Corbin follows with a forearm.  Corbin hot shots Dillinger on the announce table.  Dillinger is sent back into the ring.  Corbin with forearms but Dillinger fires back and he also chops Corbin.  Corbin with a knee and Irish whip but Dillinger moves in the corner.  Corbin slides around the post and then he returns to the ring and clotheslines Dillinger and follows with a near fall.  Corbin with a half nelson and chin lock.
Dillinger with punches.  Corbin with a knee and he slides around the post but Dillinger knows the clothesline is coming and he avoids it.  Dillinger sends Corbin into the ring post.  Dillinger punches Corbin and chops him.  Dillinger with a flying forearm.  Corbin misses the pop up knee and Dillinger with a bicycle kick.  Dillinger with a punch and chops.  Dillinger pulls down the knee pad and he sets for the Tye Breaker but Corbin gets back to his feet.  Corbin with a Northern Lariat followed by a choke breaker.  Corbin with End of Days for the three count.
Winner:  Baron Corbin

30 Man Royal Rumble Match:

Baron Corbin was in at #4. And tossed Balor around the ring then hit a big boot to Rhyno. Corbin with a big clothesline to Rusev. Rhyno with a belly-to-belly suplex to Corbin then went for a GORE but Corbin hit Deep Six and tossed him to the floor. Balor tossed Corbin out after that. Corbin pulled Balor under the rope and tossed him into the barricade then hit End of Days to Rusev on the floor. Balor and Rusev are STILL in the match. Heath Slater came in at #5. Corbin took out Slater with a clothesline as Slater made his entrance.

WWE United States Title Triple Threat Match: Baron Corbin © vs. Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler

Roode and Ziggler teamed up on Corbin to start things off. Corbin rolled to the floor to regroup but the challengers followed him and clotheslines him over the barricade. Back in the ring, Roode went for his finisher but Ziggler rolled him up for 2. Ziggler with a missed knee strike and Roode hit a neck breaker for 2. Ziggler dumped Roode to the floor and Corbin caught him with a clothesline. Corbin with a right hand to Ziggler. Corbin tossed Roode into the barricade. Back in the ring, Corbin caught Roode with a clothesline then a big right hand. Corbin worked over the back of Roode for a few minutes while Ziggler recovered on the outside. Roode attempted a comeback with a series of right hand sbut Corbin cut him off with a sideslam for 2. Corbin put the boots to Ziggler in the corner then took him out with a clothesline. Roode fired away with right hands to Corbin then a knee strike followed by a clothesline. Roode with two big boots then an overcastle off the middle rope for 2. Roode with a series of right hands to Ziggler then double boots followed by a missed dive and Ziggler hit the Fameasser for 2 as Corbin made the save. Roode with a powerslam to Ziggler but was caught by Corbin who hit Deep Six for a near fall. Corbin put Roode on the top turnbuckle but Roode fought him off and Ziggler tried to pull him off. Corbin came from behind and hit a tower of doom. Ziggler sent Corbin into the ring post and missed a super kick to Roode, who hit a spinebuster out of a reversal. Ziggler avoided a DDT and hit one of his own for 2 on Roode. Roode sent Corbin to the floor and Roode blocked a kick by Ziggler and sent him into the corner. Roode with the Glorious DDT to Ziggler and covered him but Corbin pulled Roode to the floor to make the save. Corbin with a back breaker to Roode on the floor and sent him into the ring. Corbin hit the End of Days to Roode while Ziggler hit the Zig Zag to Corbin then covered Corbin for the win.

Winner: Ziggler – new U.S Champion.

Baron Corbin versus Dolph Ziggler in a Non Title Match

They lock up and Corbin pushes Ziggler on the break. Ziggler pushes back and Corbin with a punch. Ziggler with a standing drop kick and Stinger Splash but Corbin sends Ziggler into the corner and then he misses a shoulder into the corner and hits the ring post.

Roode gets up from the announce table and he removes his ring robe.

Roode enters the ring and he looks at Ziggler and Corbin. Roode winds up for a Glorious DDT and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler (by disqualification)

After the match, Corbin grabs Roode by the throat but Roode with a kick and Glorious DDT.

Baron Corbin asks Bobby Roode about making the match a Triple Threat Match and Dolph does not belong in the match.  Roode says that he can beat Corbin in a one on one match.  Roode says his chances to win at Clash of Champions go down by a third.  Corbin says his chance of retaining goes down by a third.
Dolph Ziggler shows up and he says he is in the match because he is a two time World Champion, a five time Intercontinental champion.  He successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase.  Dolph says their chances to win at Clash of Champions mathematically dropped to zero.

 

Baron Corbin versus Bobby Roode in a Non Title Match
They lock up and Corbin with a break and he pushes Roode.  Roode with a side head lock and Corbin with a shoulder tackle.  Roode chops and kicks Corbin.  Roode with a drop kick to the knee and to the ribs that send Corbin to the floor.  Roode apparently does the GLORIOUS pose and then he knocks Corbin off the apron.  Corbin punches Roode and he returns to the ring and punches Roode.  Corbin with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner.
Corbin with a quarter nelson and chin lock.  Roode with punches and a chop.  Roode with a kick to the leg and chop.  Corbin sets for a choke slam but Roode gets to his feet and Corbin runs into a boot.  Roode goes to the turnbuckles but Corbin moves.  Roode and Corbin with clotheslines and they go down.
Ziggler gets up from the announce table and he enters the ring.  Ziggler with a Zig Zag to Roode and the referee calls for the bell.

 

Winner:  Bobby Roode (by disqualification)
After the match, Ziggler hits a zig zag on Corbin.

We take a look back at what happened between Baron Corbin and Bobby Roode during the Lumberjack Match last week.

Bobby Roode is in the interview area and he is asked about Baron Corbin’s actions last week. Bobby says it was not accidental. Bobby says that when Baron called him absent minded, it was not a mistake. Baron calls himself the Lone Wolf but he knows there is someone smarter who will take his title from him. Baron lashes out at anyone he sees as a threat. Bobby says that threat is absolutely . . .

Interrupted by Baron Corbin and he says that if Bobby thinks that he is afraid, then Bobby is delirious.

Bobby tells Baron to put the title on the line against him tonight.

Baron tells Bobby no and leaves.
