We go right to the ring and out comes Drew McIntyre to a pop. He hits the ring and we see what happened at the end of last week’s show with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and King Baron Corbin. Drew stands tall as more pyro goes off in the ring.

McIntyre takes the mic and warns him that the match is happening at WrestleMania, and they will rip each other to shreds. He talks about their similar journeys but what’s different is how Drew is willing to sacrifice and has sacrificed. Drew goes on and says you can’t beat a man who will sacrifice everything. He plans to run through Corbin tonight and then take back the WWE Title at WrestleMania… the music interrupts and out comes The Hurt Business – Lashley with MVP.

Lashley asks if Drew is done yet and says everyone is tired of hearing him talk about last year’s WrestleMania. He says Drew was a great champion but his time is over. Lashley says everyone in the back has been afraid of Drew but he saw that shift last week, and he felt Drew fade out in The Hurt Lock. They continue to have words and Lashley mentions his match against Cedric Alexander tonight. Drew wants to get the fight done now, no waiting until WrestleMania. They have more words but MVP interrupts and says that’s not how it works, they’re waiting until WrestleMania.

Drew McIntyre vs. King Baron Corbin

Back from the break and out comes Drew McIntyre for tonight’s main event. The announcers go over the WrestleMania 37 card. Out next comes King Baron Corbin from SmackDown. We see WWE Champion Bobby Lashley watching backstage when Schreiber approaches him for comments. He cuts a promo on Drew and looks forward to putting him down with The Hurt Lock. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and MVP is on commentary now. Corbin and Drew lock up as the bell hits. They lock up and break. They lock up again and Corbin goes behind. They trade holds and run the ropes. Corbin drops Drew with a shoulder. Corbin taunts Drew some. MVP also taunts Drew from commentary.

They lock up again but Drew controls Corbin with a headlock. We see Lashley watching backstage again. Corbin gets a shot in but Drew levels him with a huge shoulder. Corbin retreats to the floor to regroup as the referee counts. Corbin comes back in and takes it to the corner, beating on Drew with strikes as the referee warns him. Corbin stops to argue with the referee. Drew takes advantage and goes to work on Corbin, dropping him with a big boot for a 2 count. Drew with a suplex in the middle of the ring for another 2 count. More back and forth now. Corbin runs out and back in, leveling Drew with a clothesline for a 2 count. Corbin uses the middle rope on Drew as the referee warns him and fans boo.

Drew gasps for air as the referee checks on him. Corbin puts a boot to the throat while Drew is down in the corner. Corbin with right hands to keep Drew down in the corner now. Corbin launches Drew into the turnbuckles and he lands hard. More back and forth now. Drew mounts hard-hitting offense with several signature moves. Drew kips up for a pop as MVP taunts him some more. Corbin avoids the Futureshock DDT and retreats to the floor.

Drew tries to follow but Corbin drops him. McIntyre follows to the floor, whipping Corbin into the ring post. Drew then launches Corbin into the steel ring steps. Corbin goes back down at ringside as Drew keeps control. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Drew lands another close pin attempt. They trade big strikes now until Drew beats Corbin down against the ropes for a pop. We see the WWE Champion watching from backstage once again.

Drew charges but gets sent to the apron. Corbin with a shot to the throat. Corbin then runs Drew into the steel ring post, forcing him to the floor. MVP yells at Corbin to hurry and follow up. Corbin brings Drew over and slams him face-first into the announce table. Corbin rolls Drew back in at the 8 count. Corbin unloads on Drew while he’s down with elbows as the referee warns him. Corbin talks trash in Drew’s face. Drew fights but Corbin keeps him down. Drew keeps fighting from his knees now. Drew tries for a suplex but Corbin counters and hits a suplex of his own for a close 2 count.

Corbin traps Drew in a Crucifix on the mat out of nowhere, unloading with elbow strikes as MVP barks at him from commentary. Drew is on his knees now as Corbin talks trash in his face. Drew fights up from his knees now. Drew runs into a big chokeslam from Corbin for another close 2 count. Corbin and Drew are both shocked and dazed. Corbin charges into the corner but goes under the ropes, then right back into the ring. Drew catches him with a big Spinebuster for a close 2 count. Corbin rams Drew back into the corner but Drew rocks him. Corbin catches Drew with a big sideslam for another close 2 count.

Corbin can’t believe the kick out. He’s frustrated now while Drew is flat on his back. MVP barks more encouragement at Corbin. Drew blocks a Deep Six with the Glasgow Kiss headbutt. Drew then follows up with the Futureshock DDT in the middle of the ring but Corbin kicks out at 2. They’re both down now. Drew slowly gets up and goes to the top but Corbin cuts him off with a right hand.

Corbin climbs up to the top with Drew, rocking him with strikes. Corbin nails the big superplex for another close 2 count. They both struggle to get up. Corbin rocks Drew first. They trade more kicks and punches. Drew charges but Corbin catches him with Deep Six for a close 2 count in the middle of the ring. Corbin can’t believe it.

MVP gets up and goes to the edge of the ring, telling Corbin it’s not about getting the win, it’s about taking Drew out. So now take Drew out, he yells. MVP hands his cane to Corbin, right in front of the referee. Drew ducks the cane shot and comes right back with a big Claymore for the pin to win in the middle of the ring.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

King Baron Corbin is backstage yelling at a staffer because he doesn’t have his own private locker room. A referee approaches after Corbin sent for him. Corbin continues ranting about how he’s not being treated right as the guest at RAW. Corbin talks to the referee about what he’s going to do in the match later on. Back to commercial.

Charly is backstage with King Corbin now. She asks if he has any doubts about tonight’s match with Drew McIntyre. Corbin says Drew may be WWE Champion but he’s not king. We see Drew watching the interview as Corbin goes on taking shots. Corbin says he’s going to take advantage of every mistake Drew makes tonight, then beat him. Corbin says the next time he steps in the ring with Drew after tonight will be the main event of WrestleMania, and he will take the WWE Title.

We go to the ring for tonight’s non-title main event as WWE Champion Drew McIntyre makes his way out. Back to commercial.
Back from the break and we’re back to the axe-throwing contest at the reenactment. The fake cops have all four Superstars lined up, asking if they know how dangerous it is to throw axes as someone could get hurt. The one female cop is going to let them go this one time because Ivar is cute, but Erik not so much. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins joke around with them to end the segment. We go back to the ring and out comes King Baron Corbin, representing SmackDown in this Brand-To-Brand Invitational match.
The bell is about to ring but the music interrupts and out comes Bobby Lashley with MVP to the stage. MVP says he and Lashley have taken a personal interest in this match. MVP praises Corbin and McIntyre, then hands the mic to Lashley. Lashley puts Drew on notice and says he’s coming for Drew and the WWE Title, and if he needs to pry it from his cold dead hands, that’s exactly what he will do. MVP tells them to make it good because they will be watching. We go back to commercial.
Back from the break and Drew locks up with Corbin. MVP and Lashley watch from the stage. Drew takes it to the corner and backs off as the referee warns him. They shove each other. They lock up again and Corbin drives a knee into the gut. Drew ends up ducking a clothesline and nailing a chop. Corbin turns it back around and unloads with body strikes in the corner. Corbin hits the ropes and drops Drew with a shoulder. Corbin talks some trash as they run the ropes. Drew drops Corbin with a shoulder. Drew keeps fighting and knocks Corbin to the floor. Drew follows and clotheslines Corbin over the barrier.
The referee counts as MVP applauds Drew. Drew clotheslines Corbin back over the barrier to the ringside area. Drew rocks Corbin again and rolls him back in the ring. Drew readies for a Claymore kick but Corbin rolls to the floor. Corbin turns it around and knocks Drew from the apron to the barrier with a shoulder. Drew is down on the floor now. Corbin follows and launches Drew face-first into the ring post as MVP taunts from the stage.
Drew comes back in but Corbin works him over some more. Corbin takes it to the corner and continues to manhandle Drew. Drew fights back with big chops. Corbin charges, runs out and runs right back in with a big clothesline for a 1 count. Drew fights back with chops now. Corbin is still fighting. Drew gets sent to apron, then hung up on the top rope. The referee warns Corbin as he rocks Drew on the apron again. Corbin has Drew up top now. Drew fights back. Corbin climbs up for a superplex and he nails it. Corbin rolls over for the count but Drew kicks out at 1.
Drew gets upset and starts making a comeback. Corbin gets launched overhead. Drew goes to the top and comes flying down with an axe handle. Drew kips up and yells at Corbin while he’s down. Drew puts Corbin on his shoulders but he slides down. Drew catches Corbin with a big Spinebuster for another close 2 count.
Drew talks trash to Corbin while he’s down, telling him to get his ass up and prove himself. Corbin blocks the Futureshock DDT and rams Drew into the corners. Corbin with a big sideslam but Drew still kicks out at 1. Corbin can’t believe it. Corbin and McIntyre trade big strikes as MVP and Lashley look on from the stage. Drew catches Corbin and drops him with the DDT. Drew waits in the corner as Corbin slowly recovers. Corbin side-steps the Claymore and drops Drew with Deep Six. Drew kicks out just in time.
Corbin barks back at MVP’s distraction. Drew ducks End of Days and nails a Glasgow Kiss headbutt. Corbin runs out and right back in but Drew catches him with a big Claymore kick for the pin to win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

Charly is backstage with King Baron Corbin now. Before she asks about next week’s match with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, she wants to know what happened at Money In the Bank. Corbin says last night proved he will do whatever it takes. She asks about him tossing Rey Mysterio and Aleister Black off the roof. Corbin says they’re both lucky because what people didn’t see was the two of them landing on a secondary roof just feet away. Charly asks if Corbin has what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the champ next week. Corbin says of course he does. Corbin says McIntyre thinks the battle with Brock Lesnar made him but that’s not the case. He says Drew road his coattails on RAW for more than a year, watching him earn his crown. Corbin says next week he will prove why they call him the king.

We’re live from the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, California as Randy Orton and King Baron Corbin are already stomping on Rusev in the ring.

Orton and Corbin retreat to the floor as Rusev fights them off and stands tall.

Fans boo in the arena. Rusev isn’t happy, looking on from the ring. Corbin and Orton are laughing at Rusev from ringside. Some fans chant “she’s a hooker!” now. Team Hogan’s Rusev turns his attention to Orton and Corbin, who are representing Team Flair. Rusev exits the ring and attacks Orton and Corbin. He sends Corbin into the steel ring steps and puts Orton into the barrier with a fall-away slam. Rusev gets hyped up as he goes to work on Corbin with the steps and the ring post. Rusev rams half of the steps into Orton’s face and then Corbin, sending him over the barrier. Rusev has snapped. Rusev manhandles Orton some more, then sends him face-first into a ring post. Rusev yells out, then charges with a big running kick to Corbin, who was on the other side of the barrier. Rusev with a big kick to Orton next. Vic says this was supposed to be Orton vs. Rusev. Rusev tosses another part of the steps and marches up the ramp to the back.

King Corbin comes out during Orton vs Rollins. Orton takes advantage of the distraction and drops Rollins. Corbin hits the ring and nails Rollins with his scepter from behind. Corbin and Orton double team Rollins now. The music hits and out comes Rusev to make the save. Rusev unloads on Orton and Corbin as fans cheer him on. Rusev blocks the RKO and nails a big Machka Kick. Rusev with more big kicks to King Corbin now.

Baron Corbin vs. Chad Gable

We go back to the ring as Corbin waits. Cole shows us a replay from SmackDown where Chad Gable destroyed Corbin’s coronation ceremony. Gable makes his way to the ring now.
Corbin takes the mic and says he’s not here to make fun of anyone tonight, and he won’t be out here long because this match will be… short. Corbin says after tonight, he decrees that he will no longer have to compete against sawed-off runts or others under 5 foot 5 inches. Corbin calls for the bell. The referee gives him time to remove his robe and crown but Gable is getting impatient. The bell rings and Cole tells us that this match is sponsored by Gears of War 5. They go at it and Corbin slams Gable back into the corner but Gable kicks him off. Gable locks up from behind and takes Corbin down. Corbin tosses Gable out of the ring to the floor. Gable comes back in but Corbin runs him over. Corbin keeps Gable grounded now.
Gable fights back and starts to mount offense. Gable with a neckbreaker. Corbin rolls to the floor but Gable keeps fighting. Corbin kicks the leg out and slams Gable’s head into the steel ring steps. Corbin launches Gable over the barrier, into the crowd. We go to commercial.
Back from the break and Corbin runs out, then back in the ring to level Gable with a big strike. Gable kicks out at 2 and Corbin shows some frustration. Corbin drives elbows into Gable and keeps him grounded in the middle of the ring now. Gable fights up and out but Corbin overpowers and whips him hard into the turnbuckles. Gable goes down and Corbin covers for a 2 count. Corbin argues with the referee.
Corbin rocks Gable and takes him to the top. Gable gets free and nails a crossbody to take Corbin down. Gable with strikes now. Gable ducks a clothesline and kicks Corbin’s knee. Corbin comes right back with a big boot for another 2 count and more frustration from King Corbin. Fans chant for Gable now and Corbin isn’t happy about it.
Corbin responds to the chants by hitting a running splash in the corner. Fans boo Corbin now and he taunts them. Corbin with another big running splash in the corner for more boos. Corbin continues to taunt the crowd and yell at them. Corbin charges but misses, then runs back into the ring. Gable immediately attacks and keeps charging in the corner, dropping Corbin. Fans pop as Gable goes to the top. Corbin knocks Gable’s leg out and drives him into the mat for another 2 count. Corbin argues with the referee once again.
Corbin gets in John Cone’s face again as the boos continue. Gable fights back out of the corner. Gable counters a chokeslam and rolls Corbin for a 2 count. Corbin hits the chokeslam and covers for another close pin attempt in the middle of the ring. Corbin can’t believe it. Fans start rallying for Gable again. Gable fights out of the corner with strikes but Corbin rocks him. Corbin comes off the second rope but misses and hits the ropes. Gable with a German suplex. Gable goes back to the top and this time hits the moonsault but Corbin kicks out. Gable gets up first as fans chant for him.
Corbin grabs Gable by the throat. Gable avoids End of Days and applies the ankle lock in the middle of the ring as fans pop. Corbin goes for the bottom rope but grabs his scepter instead. Corbin decks Gable with it and the referee calls the match.

Winner by DQ: Chad Gable

– After the match, fans boo Corbin as he continues hitting Gable with the scepter. Corbin picks Gable up and drops him with a scepter shot to the back of the neck. Corbin puts his crown and robe on, then leaves after raising the scepter in the air over Gable. Corbin’s music hits and appears to be a royal remix. He heads to the back as Gable recovers.

Match 2: Chad Gable vs Baron Corbin
Gable goes for the wrestling, picks the ankle, Corbin is able to strong arm him but Gable locks up behin.d Corbin with an elbow to break the hold. Corbin with a blow to the back. Stomps from Corbin. Elbow to the face. High knee to Gable. Gable picks the elbow again, then gets kicked away. He holds the ropes and Corbin tumbles outsid.e He runs back in the ring but Gable hits a huge dropkick. The crowd is firmly behind him. He leaves the ring, rushes Corbin, but Corbin hits him with a back body drop onto a chair in the timekeepers area!!

We come back, and Gable is facing death by clubbing. Corbin shoos the crowd with his hand then turns back to Gable, who is seated in the front of the struggle bus. Corbin lifts Gable by the chin and punches him right in the face. Cover from Corbin for 1…2..NO! Corbin demands a quicker count. Corbin drops some elbows onto the chest from above, then works the arm from behind. Gable crawls up Corbin’s body and hits a bunch of elbows to the face. Gable hits the ropes, Corbin falls back into the ropes. BIG BOOT! Corbin shouts then sends Gable into the ropes. Gable rolls through, picks the ankle, nearly locks it in, hits the face of Gable with a right. He rushes the corner and gets posted. Gable from the top with a dropkick to Corbin. Gable pulls himself up in the corner, rushes the opposite corner with a front flip boot to the face, he hits another one. A third doesn’t quite hit, so he goes one more, ut Corbin pushes him up in the air then powerslams him right back down and covers for 1..2…NO!!!

On the outside, Corbin sends Gable into the barricade. Again. Gable send him into it back first for the third time. Corbin rushes for another tackle, but Gable moves and Corbin eats the steps. Gable rolls into the ring nd the ref counts .He hits 7, then Corbin rolls into the ring. Gable rolls ut, grabbing the leg on the way, and swings it into the post. He grabs the left leg and swings it again. Gable slides in the ring. Running dropkick to the leg. Gable with some rights as he says, “You’re my size now.” Gable screams, hits the ropes, DEEP SIX! Cover for 1..2….NO!!! Corbin does the stupid slide through the ropes thing, but Gable dodges, locks up from behind, GERMAN!! Pin for 1..2…NO!!! Gable to the top rope. Moonsault, lands on his feet, Corbin with aa possible End of Days, Gable rolls through. ANKLE LOCK!!!! Corbin is screaming in agony. Corbin gets near the ropes. Gable pulls!! GRAPEVINE TO THE LEG!!! Corbin drags himself. He gets closer. HE GETS THE ROPES!! Gable grabs the leg in the corner. He hits an elbow.

Corbin tries for a rake, Gable hits some elbows. Corbin shoves him. Gable locks the arm, swings, Corbin with End of Days! Pin for 1..2…3!!!

KOTR Semifinal Match: Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin vs. Ricochet: They brawl at the bell and Corbin powders as Ricochet hits ahead scissors on Joe. Corbin in and cuts off Ricochet, working him over in the corner. Ricochet fires back with kicks and a flying clothesline and the standing shooting star pres for 2. Ricochet works over Corbin on the floor and follow with a suicide dive on Joe and then a Fosbury flop onto Corbin. Post break and Corbin cuts off Ricochet and slams him to the post. Joe then posts Ricochet and back in, Corbin and Joe trade strikes. Joe hits an atomic drop, big boot and senton for 2 as Ricochet makes the save. Ricochet follow with chops on Joe until Joe cuts him off with the snap slam for 2. Joe & Ricochet work up top, Corbin joins in and Ricochet fights them off and then eats a Corbin lariat. Joe hits an enziguri on Corbin but Ricochet then takes him out for the triple down. Ricochet and Corbin trade strikes and chops, big boot by Corbin and Ricochet is down. Ricochet counters the choke breaker into a sunset flip for 2 but runs into deep six for 2 as Joe chokes out Corbin on the floor. Ricochet heads up top and Ricochet hits an apron shooting star press into both men. Back in and Ricochet heads up top, but rolls through on the 630, Joe gets the clutch but counters into the recoil and the 630 connects but Corbin pulls him out and tosses him in the crowd and pins Joe. Baron Corbin defeated Samoa Joe & Ricochet @ 14:15 via pin [***¼] This was a good match, with everyone playing their roles well. For as much as I personally dislike Corbin, he’s been good here in the KOTR tournament

Match 4: Baron Corbin vs Cedric Alexander
Corbin has changed to the 50 cent version of black tank top. Cedric dodges an attack from Corbin then tries to escape an arm hold with a right hand. Corbin goes for a kick but Cedric dodges. Corbin does the dumb out then into the ring with a clothesline. Cover for 1. Corbin with a right hand in the corner. He sends Cedric into the ropes chest first then hits the back of Cedric with a right forearm. Cedric gets some offense in, ending with a springboard elbow sending Corbin to the outside. Cedric hits the ropes. Suicide dive to Corbin. Cedric Clothesline off the top rope in the inside. Cover for 1..2..NO!!! Corbin up with a right hand. Cedric kicks out of the corner. He heads to the otop and Corbin knocks him down. Cedric hangs off the top with his leg trapped on the ropes. Corbin swings Cedric into the post not once, but twice!

We come back from break and Corbin drops an elbow on to the shouldr of Cedric. He does it a few more times and works the arm behind the head of Cedric. Corbin stands tall as Cedric writhes in pain. Corbin with a knee. He sends Corbin into the post shoulder first. Boot to the chest of Cedric. Right hand to the face. Another. Corbin sends Cedric into the ropes, he ducks a move, and kicks Corbin in the back of the head. Corbin rushes the corner. Dropkick to the knee. Corbin seated. Eats a drop kick to the face. Cedric is up. Cedric hits the ropes. SPINEBUSTER to Cedric! Cover for 1…2…NO! Corbin with some right hands. Corbin sends Cedric into the post shoulder first again. He then sends Cedric to the apron. Boot to the face of Corbin. Cedric drives into the ring, grabs the head for a tornado DDT or Facebuster, but Corbin turns it into a Deep Six! Cedric up in the corner. Corbin does the run in and out but this time Cedric sends Corbin into the post shoulder first! Cedric sends Corbin into the post one more time! He goes for a third, and gets it!!! Cedric sends Corbin to the other post one more itme. Kicks in the corner to the arm of Corbin over and over. Ref holds him back and Cedric watches as Corbin heads to the outside. Cedric hits the ropes. He flips over the top rope onto Corbin!!

Cedric sends Corbin into the ring. Alexander on the top rope. He dives. Slight kick to Corbin and a pin for 1..2…NO!!! The crowd is really into the match. Cedric grabs the back of Corbin, locks up the side. Corbin hits a right, goes for End of Days, rolls through, Cedric gets 1..2…N!O!! Corbin up! He turns MICHINOKU DRIVER from Cedric and a pin for 1…2…NO!!!!!

Cedric rushes the corner, lands on the apron, kick to the face, springboard attempt, but Corbin hits the ropes. Cedric falls. END OF DAYS! Pin for 1…2….3!!!

Winner: Baron Corbin

Match 2: Baron Corbin vs The Miz
Corbin takes his shirt off and tosses it at Miz, distracting him. He stomps Miz in the corner. Miz kicks out of the corner and hits some lefts to Corbin. He mounts in the corner, Baron shoves him off. Kick to Corbin. Another. Clotheslnie sends Corbin to the outside. Miz hits the ropes. Swings through the ropes. Corbin side steps. Right hand to The Miz. Corbin grabs The Miz’s head. He sends Miz nito the barricade back-first. He sends Miz into the ring, the nfollows with a roll. Corbin with a right, but Miz blocks and hits a right of his own. Left hand. Whip to the corner is reversed, Corbin slides under the ropes and back into the ring then clotheslines Miz down hard. Pin for 1…2…NO!!

Back from a break, and Miz hits a neckbreaker. He hits some knees in the corner a few times then goes to the top rope and comes off with an axe handle. Cover for 1…2…NO!!!

Cedric Alexander is watching backstage as Corbin kicks miz away in the ring, then hits a Deep Six. Cover for 1..2..NO!!! Boot to the jaw from Miz. Goes for Skull Crushing Finale, Corbin counters, flips Miz, and he lands on his feet. Corbin rolls up, gets a knee, goes for End of Days, Miz counters out, kicks the knee. DDT! Cover for 1..2..NO!!! Miz with the It kicks to Corbin. Miz misses the last one and Corbin rolls Miz up. 1…2..NO!!! Corbin runs, slides under the ropes, but Miz is waiting for him this time. Skull Crushing Finale. Cover for 1…2….NO!!!!! Corbin rolls to the outside. He falls down on the mat while Miz stirs, in shock at the kickout.

Baron Corbin won Most Metal Athlete from Revolver Music Awards in 2016. The only other recipient to win that was The Game, Triple H! So it’s pretty awesome that our Lone Wolf is now apart of that as well.

Baron Corbin defeated Chad Gable to become King of The Ring, on the September 16th episode of RAW. Corbin picked up the win when Gable goes to grab Corbin’s ankle but luckily Corbin holds the ropes, Gable then goes for a head-scissor, but Corbin counters into an impressive End of Days for the win.
