Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

We get a look at the ring and it’s now filled with Superstars for tonight’s main event match – Akira Tozawa, Angel Garza, Cedric Alexander, Drew Gulak, Elias, Erik, Gran Metalik, Humberto Carrillo, Jaxson Ryker, Kalisto, Lince Dorado, Mace, Murphy, Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, Shelton Benjamin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Slapjack, T-BAR, and Tucker. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and King Baron Corbin is getting his own entrance as the announcers go over the card for WrestleMania 37 Night One and Night Two. Carmella and Billie Kay are confirmed for the Tag Team Turmoil match now. We see the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy at ringside. Out next comes Jey Uso with his own entrance as fans boo him. Greg Hamilton does the introductions.

The bell rings and everyone starts going at it. Uso works on Ali. Gulak and T-BAR go at it. Garza and Metalik go at it. Ricochet fights Elias. Shelton and Cedric eliminate Tozawa. They double team Tucker now, and then eliminate him. Everyone gangs up and attacks Cedric and Shelton now. Shelton is tossed by several Superstars, then Cedric is also tossed by multiple Superstars. Slapjack attacks Murphy as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and T-BAR is working on dumping Gulak. Erik works on Ryker but Elias makes the save. Elias and Ryker eliminate Erik. Ryker tosses Lince to the apron but he makes it back in. T-BAR and Mace eliminate Gulak. They then toss Carrillo over the top and he’s eliminated now, landing on Gulak. Elias and Ryker double team Slapjack, eliminating him. Ryker and Elias face off with Mace and T-BAR now. They go at it. Elias and Ryker are eliminated

Ali comes from behind and eliminates Mace, then celebrates. T-BAR goes to dump Ali with a chokeslam but Murphy interferes. T-BAR knocks him back. Ali tangles with T-BAR and T-BAR gets eliminated. Murphy levels Ali with a big rolling knee. Lucha House Party reunites in the middle of the ring now. Metalik and Lince turn on Kalisto and double team him now. He fights out of the corner but Dorado eliminates him. Metalik eliminates his own partner, Lince. Corbin grabs Metalik and they go at it. Corbin eliminates Metalik and we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Murphy fights with Garza on the apron. Corbin works on Ricochet. Ali and Uso double team Nakamura. Garza unloads on Murphy with elbows. Murphy rips his pants off. Corbin runs over and eliminates Murphy, launching him into the barrier. Garza attacks Nakamura in the corner now. Nakamura ends up eliminating Garza.

It’s down to Ali, Ricochet, Corbin, Nakamura and Uso. Ali and Ricochet go at it on the apron. Ricochet with a big knee. Ricochet launches Ali onto another Superstar already out. Ali is eliminated. Uso superkicks Ricochet and he is eliminated. Corbin and Uso double team Nakamura now in the middle of the ring. Uso superkicks Corbin, then dumps him but he hangs on and pulls back in. Nakamura sends Uso to the apron but he hangs on. Nakamura charges and eliminates Corbin.

Nakamura and Uso unload on each other in the middle of the ring with strikes now. Nakamura levels Uso with a heavy right hand. Nakamura with a big STO now. Nakamura gets a pop as he readies for the Kinshasa but he runs into a superkick instead. Nakamura comes right back with a Kinshasa to flatten Uso. Nakamura goes to toss Uso out but Uso grabs him and launches him over the top rope for the final elimination.

Winner: Jey Uso

We see how King Baron Corbin helped WWE Champion Bobby Lashley attack Drew McIntyre on RAW this week. McIntyre vs. Corbin is set for RAW on this week’s show. Corbin is backstage now, ranting about being tired of not getting respect on SmackDown. He heard Lashley’s offer and decided his time now. He says he will take Drew out on Monday and then go to WrestleMania to win the WWE Title.

King Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn

Back from the break and King Baron Corbin is already in the ring. Sami Zayn is also out, wrapping up his entrance. Kevin Owens is on commentary.

The bell rings and Sami strikes first but Corbin drop him with ease. Sami goes to the ropes and the referee backs Corbin off. Sami takes control and uses the middle rope on Corbin, yelling at the referee. Sami with strikes. Corbin ducks a clothesline and hits one of his own. Corbin mounts Sami with punches now.

Corbin with a running clothesline in the corner. Sami suckers Corbin in and hits a cheap shot poke to the eyes. Sami ends up rolling Corbin up and using the ropes for leverage. The referee catches him and they have words. Sami exposes the top turnbuckle but Corbin attacks from behind.

The referee covers the turnbuckle but Sami argues with him. Corbin takes advantage and hits End of Days in the middle of the ring for the pin to win.

Winner: King Corbin

After the match, Corbin stands tall as his music hits. Owens tells Cole he saw nothing out of the ordinary against Sami. Sami argues with the referee at ringside, then asks Owens if he saw the conspiracy stuff against him. Owens defends the officiating and says Sami is just mad things didn’t go his way. Sami rants and yells while Owens tells him to let go of this. Sami walks off and Owens turns back to Cole and Graves. Sami suddenly attacks from behind with a big Helluva Kick to the head. Sami yells at Owens and keeps him down while fans boo. Sami walks off, still ranting. We go to replays. Sami blames everything on the referee as his documentary crew continues filming. Sami says Owens doesn’t want to see the truth and that’s his problem.

We go back to the ring and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E making his return as Greg Hamilton does the introduction.

Big E says he laid up in a medical facility because of Apollo Crews and the steel steps. He had a lot of time to think and he hopes Crews knows what he did, because Crews crossed the Rubicon, opened Pandora’s Box, and there’s no coming back from that, there is no sorry to fix this, you can’t put the genie back in the bottle. Apollo made Big E go biblical, he says, he now has to go Old Testament on Apollo because now it’s eye for an eye, it’s take one of mine and I’ll take two of yours, you came to hurt me and I came to maim you. Big E goes on and says beating Crews wouldn’t be enough, he has got to end Crews now.

Big E says Crews wants what is his, and that’s good because now he’s ready to give Apollo exactly what he deserves. Big E takes off some of his gear and says they don’t need to wait, they can do it tonight. He calls Apollo to the ring to get what he’s been waiting for. He starts yelling for Crews to come out but he’s not appearing. Big E isn’t surprised. He says he got all dressed up to defend his title, so that’s what he is going to do. He says if Crews won’t come get his, then he will extend an open challenge to whoever wants it. Big E tells them to come get it. The music hits and out comes King Baron Corbin.

Corbin tells Big E to calm down because he’s out here looking crazy. Corbin says he’s not dressed to fight but he has no matter tearing up this $10,000 suit… Sami Zayn interrupts and accepts the challenge, calling on his documentary crew to keep filming. Corbin says Sami can’t do this because he was just accepting the challenge. Sami says they have it on film, Corbin was not accepting. Sami says winning the title back will be the perfect ending to his documentary. Corbin and Sami argue some more on the ramp. Big E says the first person to enter the ring gets the title match. Sami rushes the ring, then taunts Corbin after making it in first. Big E attacks Sami and hits a big belly-to-belly suplex, sending Sami back to the floor on his back. Corbin stands over Sami as Big E gets ready for a fight in the ring. We go back to commercial.

Montez Ford vs. King Corbin

We go back to the ring and out comes The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. It starts raining red Solo cups. Fans chant “we want smoke!” as Ford and Dawkins head to the ring for this rematch from last week.
Back from the break and out comes Sami Zayn with his documentary film crew. He admits The Profits pulled off a fluke win last week, but they will prove tonight that it was just that – a fluke. He’s interrupted by King Baron Corbin. Corbin goes on about how he and Sami are not tag team partners, and he’s not teaming with Sami tonight. Corbin says he is a singles competitor. He asks The Profits if they’d like a singles match. They’re up for it and Dawkins is ready to start with Sami. Sami asks if this is a setup that they’re all in on. He didn’t agree to this, he agreed to a tag team match. The Profits rant about wanting the smoke as Corbin heads to the ring for a singles match.
Corbin and Ford start things off. Corbin rocks Ford but Ford comes back with a big dropkick, and another. Corbin catches Ford with a big Spinebuster for a 2 count. Corbin takes Ford to the corner and works him over with body shots, beating him down as the referee warns him.

Corbin whips Ford into the turnbuckles and he goes down. Corbin lifts Ford and drives him into the mat in the middle of the ring. Corbin taunts Ford as he tries to get back up while Dawkins cheers him on. Ford jumps on Corbin’s back with a Sleeper but Corbin rams him back into the corner. Ford stays on his back and lands on his feet to break it. Ford unloads with a dropkick into the corner. Ford keeps fighting and catches Corbin in a big DDT off a counter.
Ford kips up and hits a standing moonsault for a quick pin attempt. Sami approaches Dawkins and rants at ringside. This distracts Ford but he still rocks Corbin and hits an enziguri. Corbin comes back and drops Ford with End of Days in the middle of the ring for the pin to win.

Winner: King Corbin

– After the match, Corbin stands tall as his music hits. Corbin rolls to the floor and Sami Zayn wants some of the same help he just gave Corbin. Angelo Dawkins runs and knocks Sami off the apron back to the floor. Sami and Corbin argue at ringside now. Corbin walks away and tells Sami he’s on his own now. Sami isn’t happy. Dawkins looks on from the ring as we go back to commercial.

We see King Corbin warming up in the back now. Sami Zayn and his film crew appear. Sami interviews Corbin and asks what he thinks about the conspiracy against Sami. Corbin just wants to know why they’re teaming up tonight. Sami says it was his idea. Sami says he needs a big win and they have chemistry. Sami believes they can eventually be champions if they work together. They have a few more words and Corbin isn’t interested.

Back from the break and out comes King Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn with his film crew. Ford starts off with Sami and Sami does some stalling early on. Sami works Ford over and into the corner. Ford comes back with a deep arm drag for a pop. We see SmackDown Tag Team Champions Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler watching in the back, mocking The Profits by drinking out of red cups.
Dawkins and Corbin tag in and lock up now. They run the ropes and Corbin levels Dawkins with a big shoulder. They run the ropes again and Dawkins nails a dropkick. Dawkins works on the arm of Corbin now. Corbin turns it around and goes to slide out, then back in but Sami’s film crew is in the way. He yells at them. The Profits double team Corbin, kicking him off the apron. We go to commercial with Ford and Dawkins standing tall in the ring now.

More back and forth between the two teams after the match for several minutes. The Profits take control and run wild. Corbin gets sent to the floor and Dawkins hits a huge neckbreaker on Sami. Ford goes to the top and follows up with a big Frogsplash on Sami for the pin to win.

Winners: The Street Profits

– After the match, Ford and Dawkins celebrate as the music hits. We go to replays. Corbin and Zayn are furiously yelling at each other at ringside.

Edge is backstage when King Baron Corbin walks up and says this feels like the main event of WrestleMania 37. Edge isn’t interested. Corbin brags on how expensive his suit and watch are, and says next time Edge sees someone walk up with a suit and watch like him, he should bow down. Edge just brags about his smartphone and won’t take Corbin seriously. Corbin storms off.

Sami Zayn, King Baron Corbin and Jey Uso vs. Cesaro, Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens

We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event as Sami Zayn and his film crew are out first. King Baron Corbin is out next. Jey Uso is out last for their team. WWE Hall of Famer Edge comes out next to join the announcers for commentary. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and announced for Talking Smack tomorrow is Reginald, Jey Uso and Apollo Crews. Kayla Braxton and Paul Heyman will host. We go back to the ring and out first comes Daniel Bryan for his team. Cesaro is out next, followed by Kevin Owens. Bryan starts off with Uso and they go to the corner. Uso unloads but backs off. Bryan brings him back to the corner for kicks. Bryan tags in Cesaro and they hit a big double team slam.

Uso scrambles to his corner and tags in Corbin as Cesaro waits to fight. Corbin wants none of Cesaro and in comes Sami off the tag. Cesaro grabs Sami and holds him so Bryan can come in with a kick or two. Bryan works Sami around the ring now. Sami counters and levels Bryan in the middle of the ring. Sami beats Bryan around with stiff knees to the gut. Corbin tags in and drops Bryan with a right hand. Corbin uses the middle rope on Bryan as the referee counts and fans boo. Corbin beats Bryan down in the heels’ corner now.

Sami comes back in and has words with Corbin. Bryan takes advantage and tags in Cesaro. Cesaro runs wild on his opponents, sending the other two to the floor and unloading on Sami. Cesaro goes from corner to corner with big running uppercuts on Sami. Sami rolls to the floor for a breather as fans pop for Cesaro. Sami, Corbin and Uso argue at ringside now. Corbin rolls Sami into the ring, where Cesaro is waiting to deliver a Cesaro Swing. Cesaro then catapults Sami into the corner, where Corbin is tagged in. Cesaro immediately grabs Corbin for the Swing. Corbin stops it but Cesaro stomps and starts with the Swing again as we go to commercial break.

Back from the break and Cesaro is swinging Corbin. Uso ends up coming in and attacking Cesaro. Uso pulls Cesaro to the floor and launches him over the announce table as fans boo and the referee counts. Edge watches as Uso brings Cesaro back in and dropkicks him in the corner.

Paul Heyman is also on commentary now. Sami, Corbin and Uso triple team Cesaro in the corner. Corbin with a back suplex to Cesaro. Corbin unloads on Cesaro in the corner and has words with the referee, allowing for a quick cheap shot by Sami. Uso tags back in and goes to work on Cesaro. Cesaro blocks a shot and delivers a big uppercut. Uso comes right back and whips Cesaro across the ring into the turnbuckles. Uso keeps control and covers Cesaro for a 2 count. Uso grounds Cesaro with a headlock now.

Uso takes Cesaro back to their corner and in comes Corbin to take over. Corbin misses a big running corner splash. Cesaro with a springboard corkscrew uppercut from the middle rope. Fans pop for Cesaro. Bryan and Sami tag in. Bryan ducks and dropkicks Uso off the apron. Bryan unloads on Sami into the corner now. Bryan keeps control and clotheslines Sami. Bryan with a big corner dropkick to Sami, then Yes Kicks as fans cheer him on. Bryan takes Sami to the top and hits a big hurricanrana for a close 2 count as Uso breaks it up. Owens runs in and superkicks Uso, sending him to the floor.

Owens runs off the apron with a big Cannonball to Uso on the floor. Bryan kicks away at Sami with Yes Kicks but Sami ducks a roundhouse kick. Bryan kicks out at 2. Sami comes right back with the Blue Thunderbomb but Cesaro breaks the pin up. Corbin tosses Cesaro to the floor. Owens drops Corbin, who drops Cesaro at ringside. Sami goes to the top but Bryan cuts him off and climbs up for a super double underhook suplex from the top. Bryan then rolls into the Yes Lock in the middle of the ring. Sami taps out.

Winners: Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and Kevin Owens

– After the match, the music hits as Bryan stands tall and gets the “yes!” chant going again. We see Corbin enter the ring and stand behind Bryan now, stalking him. We go to replays. Bryan continues his celebration until Corbin comes from behind and drops him with End of Days. Owens then runs up and nails a Stunner to Corbin. Sami runs up and hits a big Exploder to Owens. Cesaro runs over and nails the big uppercut to Sami. Cesaro turns around to a superkick from Uso. Edge then hits the ring and delivers a big Spear to Uso for a pop. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns then appears out of nowhere and takes Edge out with a Spear of his own. Fans boo now as Reigns stands tall over Edge, looking down at him and yelling. Heyman enters the ring and hands the Universal Title to Reigns. Reigns puts the title in Edge’s face to taunt him, and then raises it in the air. Fans chant “you suck!” as Reigns stands tall over Edge. The final SmackDown before WWE Elimination Chamber goes off the air.

Elimination Chamber Qualifier: Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio vs. Sami Zayn and King Baron Corbin

We go back to the ring for the Elimination Chamber qualifying match as Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio come out. King Baron Corbin is out next. His partner is Sami Zayn, who has his documentary crew with him. Sami starts ranting about having to earn a title shot and having to team with Corbin for this match, no disrespect. Sami finishes his rant on the apron but gets knocked off by The Mysterios.

The bell rings and Rey attacks Corbin to start. Corbin with a knee to the gut to turn it around. Rey goes for an early 619 but Sami trips him. Dominik then nails a big suicide dive to take Sami down on the outside. Rey tangles with Corbin and sends him to the floor. Rey and Dominik run back in the ring to stand tall as fans cheer them on. Corbin and Sami regroup at ringside as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Corbin has Rey grounded, manhandling him as Sami looks on. Rey sends Corbin into the turnbuckles and tags in Dominik. Sami also tags in but Dominik goes to work, getting the upperhand. Dominik with a running back splash in the corner. Sami runs into a boot. Dominik with a big tornado DDT from the corner for a 2 count.

Dominik with shoulder thrusts in the corner. Dominik mounts Sami in the corner but gets sent to the apron. Dominik fights back in and launches himself over the top rope with a senton. Dominik then drops Corbin as he tries to come in, and launches himself onto Corbin with another senton. Sami rolls Dominik from behind for a 2 count. Sami comes right back and hits the Blue Thunderbomb for a close 2 count in the middle of the ring.

Dominik with a swinging neckbreaker for a 2 count. More back and forth between the two teams for a few minutes. Corbin rocks Rey off the apron but Dominik blocks End of Days. Rey and Dominik end up hitting a double 619. Sami comes in and hits a big Exploder suplex into the turnbuckles on Dominik. Sami follows up and hits a big Helluva Kick for the pin to win and earn the Chamber spots.

Winners: Sami Zayn and King Corbin

Dominik Mysterio vs. King Baron Corbin

We go back to the ring and out comes Dominik Mysterio with his dad Rey Mysterio. Cole says Dominik is hoping the third time will be the charm with King Baron Corbin tonight. Corbin suddenly attacks Rey and Dominik from behind. He drops Dominik and launches Rey off the stage to the floor. Corbin goes on and makes his way to the ring while laughing. We go to commercial.
Back from the break and the bell hits as Corbin charges. Dominik avoids some shots and nails a dropkick to send Corbin to one knee. Dominik rocks Corbin again and fights in from the apron. Dominik with another dropkick for a 2 count. Corbin turns it around and hits a Spinebuster. Corbin mounts Dominik with lefts and rights. Corbin uses the middle rope on Dominik as the referee warns him.
We see trainers checking on Rey near the stage now. Corbin whips Dominik into the corner and hits a big running splash for a 2 count. Corbin unloads with elbow strikes now, keeping Dominik grounded and working on his shoulder. Dominik fights up and out but Corbin drops him as fans boo. Corbin stands over Dominik and taunts him now. Corbin with more trash talking and more focus on the shoulder while driving a knee into the jaw. The referee checks on Dominik. We see Rey getting his knee looked at by the trainer and the referee.
Dominik fights up and out but Corbin knees him in the gut again. Dominik ends up dumping Corbin over the top rope to the floor. Dominik launches himself to the floor, taking Corbin down. Rey is limping over to the ringside area now, cheering his son on. Back to commercial.
Back from the break and Dominik comes off the top but Corbin catches him. Dominik fights out of a suplex attempt and nails a neckbreaker. Dominik with a standing moonsault for a 2 count as Rey watches from ringside. Corbin goes for a chokeslam but it’s blocked. Dominik rolls Corbin up for a 2 count. Corbin avoids a 619 and drops Dominik with Deep Six for a close 2 count.
More back and forth now. Dominik sends Corbin flying over the top rope to the floor for a pop. Dominik runs the ropes and nails a suicide dive, sending Corbin into the announce table. We see someone climbing under the ring it looks like, possibly Rey? Rey grabs Corbin’s leg from under the ring now as Corbin tries to re-enter the ring. The referee does not see this. Dominik takes advantage and hits 619. Dominik goes to the top rope and hits the Frogsplash to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio

30-Man Royal Rumble Match

The #19 entrant is King Baron Corbin as Priest fights Riddle off from the corner. Corbin goes after Riddle and then slams Bryan in the middle of the ring. Corbin fights off Nakamura but Nakamura comes back with a flying kick. Nakamura shows off some and goes for Kinshasa but it’s blocked. Corbin with Deep Six to Nakamura. Corbin eliminates Nakamura to boos.
Otis is out at #20. Otis runs over Corbin and then slams Big E.
Otis goes up to the second rope but Corbin knocks him out. Otis has been eliminated. Bryan attacks Corbin and unloads with Yes Kicks in the corner. The #21 entrant is Dominik Mysterio. Dominik hits the ring but Corbin slams him hard, then mounts him with right hands. Corbin tries to dump Dominik but he hangs on. Dominik eliminates Corbin, who is seething.

King of The Ring

Baron Corbin defeated Chad Gable to become King of The Ring, on the September 16th episode of RAW. Corbin picked up the win when Gable goes to grab Corbin’s ankle but luckily Corbin holds the ropes, Gable then goes for a head-scissor, but Corbin counters into an impressive End of Days for the win.
