King Baron Corbin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

We go back to the ring and out comes King Baron Corbin. Cole shows us how Corbin defeated Shinsuke Nakamura last week, but Nakamura stole his crown after the match. We also see Nakamura’s social media posts that show him wearing the crown while out & about this week. Cole and McAfee joke about Corbin’s bald head. Corbin takes the mic and says he was going to come out and not speak, to let his actions do the talking, but now he can’t help himself after seeing the video. That was the most disrespectful thing he’s ever seen. He says Nakamura calls himself the King of Strong Style but he is no king. All fan watching t home will not know what this is like but a real king wears $40,000 watches, drives a Ferrari, and owns mean dogs of war. Not some fat, shabby cat. A real king respects the crown, so tonight he’s going to punish Nakamura, grind his face into the canvas with the heel of his boot, then take back his crown and send it off to have it clean & polished, then put it back where it belongs, right on top of the head of the one true king of WWE. Fans keep booing Corbin as he calls Nakamura to the ring.

Music interrupts and it’s Rik Boogz (Rik Bugez, Eric Bugenhagen) from WWE NXT, playing an electric guitar. He introduces himself and says he came to rock with the real king of SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura. Boogz starts playing along with Nakamura’s theme as he makes his way out, wearing Corbin’s crown. We go to commercial with Nakamura heading to the ring.

Back from the break and the match is underway. Nakamura unloads on Corbin in the corner. We see Boogz with his guitar at ringside, hyping Nakamura up. Corbin levels Nakamura with a big counter in the ring. Corbin keeps control and works Nakamura around the ring now. Nakamura fights back with kicks and punches. Corbin catches him with a big powerbomb in the middle of the ring for a 2 count.

Corbin holds Nakamura down by his arm and puts a boot to his face as the crowd boos. Corbin takes it to the corner for body shots now. Corbin keeps Nakamura down in the corner as the referee warns him. Corbin does his own Good Vibrations in the corner now. Corbin picks Nakamura up and drops him with a knee to the gut. Corbin with a submission now, man-handling Nakamura as fans start rallying for him.

Nakamura fights up and out with gut punches. Corbin drops him with an elbow for a 1 count. Corbin slaps Nakamura around while he’s down, talking trash and taunting him. Corbin scoops Nakamura but he slides free and stuns Corbin with a big kick. Nakamura with a big knee and then the sliding knee. Nakamura waits in the corner now, catching Corbin with a takedown for a 2 count. Nakamura signals for the Kinshasa now as fans cheer him on. Corbin side-steps it and then nails a belly-to-back suplex out of the corner for 2.

Corbin gets up first and grabs Nakamura by the throat. Nakamura blocks the chokeslam with a knee strike but Corbin catches him with Deep Six for a close 2 count. Boogz starts playing Nakamura’s theme at ringside briefly. Nakamura blocks End of Days off the distraction and ends up rolling Corbin with a small package for the pin to win.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

After the bell, Boogz joins Nakamura on the ramp and plays along with his theme as Corbin seethes in the ring. Nakamura poses with Boogz on the ramp to end the segment.

We see King Baron Corbin backstage getting ready now.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. King Baron Corbin

We go back to the ring and out comes Shinsuke Nakamura, who is upset about how King Baron Corbin pinned him last week. We see a pre-recorded video from Nakamura, who says Corbin is the King of the Ring while he is the King of Style. Nakamura says tonight only one King will survive. We go back to commercial as Nakamura wraps his entrance.

Back from the break and out comes King Corbin as fans start booing. We get a pre-recorded promo from Corbin as well. Corbin brags about his style and says Nakamura got a taste of the beating last week, but will get the whole damn feast tonight. The bell rings and they lock up, going to the corner and out. Corbin drops Nakamura with a knee to the gut.

Nakamura blocks a suplex and knocks Corbin into the ropes with a kick. Nakamura with Good Vibrations in the corner. Corbin dodges a move in the corner and follows up, leveling Nakamura with a big right hand. Corbin takes control and uses the middle rope to choke Nakamura as the referee warns him. Nakamura fights back but Corbin drops him with a knee to the gut. Corbin takes Nakamura back down and unloads with elbow strikes for a 2 count.

Corbin argues with the referee. They end up colliding and both go down. Nakamura recovers first and unloads with strikes. Corbin misses a shot and Nakamura drops him with more strikes. More back and forth now. Nakamura ends up with an arm bar applied. They move into a Triangle but Corbin powers up for a powerbomb. Nakamura keeps the Triangle locked to block it but Corbin gets the pin out of nowhere for the win.

Winner: King Corbin

After the match, Corbin stands tall as his music starts. He grabs his crown and puts it on to more boos. Nakamura turns Corbin around and drops him with a roundhouse kick. Nakamura then levels Corbin again with a Kinshasa as fans cheer him on. Nakamura’s music starts up as he taunts Corbin and keeps him down. Nakamura grabs Corbin’s crown, treats it like something really special, and then places it on his own head. Nakamura celebrates in the crown now as fans cheer him on.

Apollo Crews, Sami Zayn, King Baron Corbin, Chad Gable and Otis vs. Kevin Owens, Big E, Shinsuke Nakamura and The Street Profits

Back from the break and the main event is underway as both teams are already out. Commander Azeez watches from ringside. Angelo Dawkins starts with Chad Gable and they go back & forth. Gable with a big arm drag. Dawkins with a dropkick and more offense before tagging in Montez Ford. Ford with a big dropkick to Gable and some showing off, then a pin attempt.

Gable turns it around on Ford and in comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews. He takes control of Ford and works him over. Sami Zayn tags himself in and has some words with Apollo. Sami beats Ford down in the middle of the ring. More of Sami keeping control now. Ford nails a big dropkick and in comes Big E to a pop. Sami wants none of Big E so he tags in King Baron Corbin. They lock up and Big tightens a headlock. They collide with shoulders but Corbin levels Big E with a clothesline.

Corbin talks some trash and they run the ropes. Big E drops Corbin with an elbow for a 2 count. Corbin rams Big E into the corner but Sami gets in some cheap shots as Corbin argues with the referee. Kevin Owens runs in and knocks Sami off the apron to the floor. A huge brawl breaks out in front of the announcers now. Owens nails a Frogsplash to Sami from the apron as fans pop. The big brawl continues at ringside as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Otis has Owens grounded in the middle of the ring. Owens fights up and out but Otis ends up nailing a big splash in the corner to bring him back down as fans boo. Crews tags back in but Owens counters and goes for a Stunner. Crews blocks it and goes for a superkick. More back and forth now. Owens with an enziguri to drop Crews. Gable brings Big E to the floor and Big E chases him around the ring but runs into Otis, who drops him. Crews and Owens go at it in the ring. Owens with a spinning heel kick.

Shinsuke Nakamura tags in as does Sami. Nakamura unloads and also takes out Gable as he comes in. Nakamura then kicks Corbin off the apron. Sami decks Nakamura from the side. Sami has no one to tag. Nakamura charges Sami but Sami also knocks some of his opponents off the apron. Nakamura with the sliding German suplex, then a big kick for a close 2 count as Corbin makes the save just in time. Corbin sends Nakamura to the floor. Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex to Corbin. Crews rocks Big E and hits a German suplex on him. Owens drops Crews with a Stunner. Otis pulls Owens out of the ring but Owens superkicks him twice to stun him, not bring him down.

Gable grabs Owens with a big German on the floor. Dawkins levels Gable with a big Pounce on the floor but Otis powers into Dawkins on the outside. Ford runs the ring and leaps out, taking Otis down with the other bodies. Zayn blocks a Kinshasa as fans chant “this is awesome!” now. Corbin comes in as Nakamura drops Sami, not seeing the tag. Corbin grabs Nakamura for End of Days to get the pin in the middle of the ring.

Winners: King Corbin, Sami Zayn, Otis, Chad Gable and Apollo Crews

– After the match, Corbin’s music hits as we go to replays. The heels stand tall together in the ring, taunting the babyfaces.

Back from the break and Cole confirms Rollins vs. Cesaro for net Friday. We go backstage to King Baron Corbin now for his comments on tonight’s main event. He dislikes both competitors in the match, but the benefit of Bryan losing means that he has to pack his bags and go home. We go back to the ring and the loud “yes!” chant continues as Bryan waits in the ring.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

We get a look at the ring and it’s now filled with Superstars for tonight’s main event match – Akira Tozawa, Angel Garza, Cedric Alexander, Drew Gulak, Elias, Erik, Gran Metalik, Humberto Carrillo, Jaxson Ryker, Kalisto, Lince Dorado, Mace, Murphy, Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, Shelton Benjamin, Shinsuke Nakamura, Slapjack, T-BAR, and Tucker. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and King Baron Corbin is getting his own entrance as the announcers go over the card for WrestleMania 37 Night One and Night Two. Carmella and Billie Kay are confirmed for the Tag Team Turmoil match now. We see the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy at ringside. Out next comes Jey Uso with his own entrance as fans boo him. Greg Hamilton does the introductions.

The bell rings and everyone starts going at it. Uso works on Ali. Gulak and T-BAR go at it. Garza and Metalik go at it. Ricochet fights Elias. Shelton and Cedric eliminate Tozawa. They double team Tucker now, and then eliminate him. Everyone gangs up and attacks Cedric and Shelton now. Shelton is tossed by several Superstars, then Cedric is also tossed by multiple Superstars. Slapjack attacks Murphy as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and T-BAR is working on dumping Gulak. Erik works on Ryker but Elias makes the save. Elias and Ryker eliminate Erik. Ryker tosses Lince to the apron but he makes it back in. T-BAR and Mace eliminate Gulak. They then toss Carrillo over the top and he’s eliminated now, landing on Gulak. Elias and Ryker double team Slapjack, eliminating him. Ryker and Elias face off with Mace and T-BAR now. They go at it. Elias and Ryker are eliminated

Ali comes from behind and eliminates Mace, then celebrates. T-BAR goes to dump Ali with a chokeslam but Murphy interferes. T-BAR knocks him back. Ali tangles with T-BAR and T-BAR gets eliminated. Murphy levels Ali with a big rolling knee. Lucha House Party reunites in the middle of the ring now. Metalik and Lince turn on Kalisto and double team him now. He fights out of the corner but Dorado eliminates him. Metalik eliminates his own partner, Lince. Corbin grabs Metalik and they go at it. Corbin eliminates Metalik and we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Murphy fights with Garza on the apron. Corbin works on Ricochet. Ali and Uso double team Nakamura. Garza unloads on Murphy with elbows. Murphy rips his pants off. Corbin runs over and eliminates Murphy, launching him into the barrier. Garza attacks Nakamura in the corner now. Nakamura ends up eliminating Garza.

It’s down to Ali, Ricochet, Corbin, Nakamura and Uso. Ali and Ricochet go at it on the apron. Ricochet with a big knee. Ricochet launches Ali onto another Superstar already out. Ali is eliminated. Uso superkicks Ricochet and he is eliminated. Corbin and Uso double team Nakamura now in the middle of the ring. Uso superkicks Corbin, then dumps him but he hangs on and pulls back in. Nakamura sends Uso to the apron but he hangs on. Nakamura charges and eliminates Corbin.

Nakamura and Uso unload on each other in the middle of the ring with strikes now. Nakamura levels Uso with a heavy right hand. Nakamura with a big STO now. Nakamura gets a pop as he readies for the Kinshasa but he runs into a superkick instead. Nakamura comes right back with a Kinshasa to flatten Uso. Nakamura goes to toss Uso out but Uso grabs him and launches him over the top rope for the final elimination.

Winner: Jey Uso

We go right to the ring and out comes Drew McIntyre to a pop. He hits the ring and we see what happened at the end of last week’s show with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and King Baron Corbin. Drew stands tall as more pyro goes off in the ring.

McIntyre takes the mic and warns him that the match is happening at WrestleMania, and they will rip each other to shreds. He talks about their similar journeys but what’s different is how Drew is willing to sacrifice and has sacrificed. Drew goes on and says you can’t beat a man who will sacrifice everything. He plans to run through Corbin tonight and then take back the WWE Title at WrestleMania… the music interrupts and out comes The Hurt Business – Lashley with MVP.

Lashley asks if Drew is done yet and says everyone is tired of hearing him talk about last year’s WrestleMania. He says Drew was a great champion but his time is over. Lashley says everyone in the back has been afraid of Drew but he saw that shift last week, and he felt Drew fade out in The Hurt Lock. They continue to have words and Lashley mentions his match against Cedric Alexander tonight. Drew wants to get the fight done now, no waiting until WrestleMania. They have more words but MVP interrupts and says that’s not how it works, they’re waiting until WrestleMania.

Drew McIntyre vs. King Baron Corbin

Back from the break and out comes Drew McIntyre for tonight’s main event. The announcers go over the WrestleMania 37 card. Out next comes King Baron Corbin from SmackDown. We see WWE Champion Bobby Lashley watching backstage when Schreiber approaches him for comments. He cuts a promo on Drew and looks forward to putting him down with The Hurt Lock. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and MVP is on commentary now. Corbin and Drew lock up as the bell hits. They lock up and break. They lock up again and Corbin goes behind. They trade holds and run the ropes. Corbin drops Drew with a shoulder. Corbin taunts Drew some. MVP also taunts Drew from commentary.

They lock up again but Drew controls Corbin with a headlock. We see Lashley watching backstage again. Corbin gets a shot in but Drew levels him with a huge shoulder. Corbin retreats to the floor to regroup as the referee counts. Corbin comes back in and takes it to the corner, beating on Drew with strikes as the referee warns him. Corbin stops to argue with the referee. Drew takes advantage and goes to work on Corbin, dropping him with a big boot for a 2 count. Drew with a suplex in the middle of the ring for another 2 count. More back and forth now. Corbin runs out and back in, leveling Drew with a clothesline for a 2 count. Corbin uses the middle rope on Drew as the referee warns him and fans boo.

Drew gasps for air as the referee checks on him. Corbin puts a boot to the throat while Drew is down in the corner. Corbin with right hands to keep Drew down in the corner now. Corbin launches Drew into the turnbuckles and he lands hard. More back and forth now. Drew mounts hard-hitting offense with several signature moves. Drew kips up for a pop as MVP taunts him some more. Corbin avoids the Futureshock DDT and retreats to the floor.

Drew tries to follow but Corbin drops him. McIntyre follows to the floor, whipping Corbin into the ring post. Drew then launches Corbin into the steel ring steps. Corbin goes back down at ringside as Drew keeps control. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Drew lands another close pin attempt. They trade big strikes now until Drew beats Corbin down against the ropes for a pop. We see the WWE Champion watching from backstage once again.

Drew charges but gets sent to the apron. Corbin with a shot to the throat. Corbin then runs Drew into the steel ring post, forcing him to the floor. MVP yells at Corbin to hurry and follow up. Corbin brings Drew over and slams him face-first into the announce table. Corbin rolls Drew back in at the 8 count. Corbin unloads on Drew while he’s down with elbows as the referee warns him. Corbin talks trash in Drew’s face. Drew fights but Corbin keeps him down. Drew keeps fighting from his knees now. Drew tries for a suplex but Corbin counters and hits a suplex of his own for a close 2 count.

Corbin traps Drew in a Crucifix on the mat out of nowhere, unloading with elbow strikes as MVP barks at him from commentary. Drew is on his knees now as Corbin talks trash in his face. Drew fights up from his knees now. Drew runs into a big chokeslam from Corbin for another close 2 count. Corbin and Drew are both shocked and dazed. Corbin charges into the corner but goes under the ropes, then right back into the ring. Drew catches him with a big Spinebuster for a close 2 count. Corbin rams Drew back into the corner but Drew rocks him. Corbin catches Drew with a big sideslam for another close 2 count.

Corbin can’t believe the kick out. He’s frustrated now while Drew is flat on his back. MVP barks more encouragement at Corbin. Drew blocks a Deep Six with the Glasgow Kiss headbutt. Drew then follows up with the Futureshock DDT in the middle of the ring but Corbin kicks out at 2. They’re both down now. Drew slowly gets up and goes to the top but Corbin cuts him off with a right hand.

Corbin climbs up to the top with Drew, rocking him with strikes. Corbin nails the big superplex for another close 2 count. They both struggle to get up. Corbin rocks Drew first. They trade more kicks and punches. Drew charges but Corbin catches him with Deep Six for a close 2 count in the middle of the ring. Corbin can’t believe it.

MVP gets up and goes to the edge of the ring, telling Corbin it’s not about getting the win, it’s about taking Drew out. So now take Drew out, he yells. MVP hands his cane to Corbin, right in front of the referee. Drew ducks the cane shot and comes right back with a big Claymore for the pin to win in the middle of the ring.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

We see how King Baron Corbin helped WWE Champion Bobby Lashley attack Drew McIntyre on RAW this week. McIntyre vs. Corbin is set for RAW on this week’s show. Corbin is backstage now, ranting about being tired of not getting respect on SmackDown. He heard Lashley’s offer and decided his time now. He says he will take Drew out on Monday and then go to WrestleMania to win the WWE Title.

Drew gives Lashley some praise and says he would be the man in this company if Drew didn’t exist. Drew says Lashley proved tonight he’s afraid of Drew. Lashley mushes Drew and they start brawling. Lashley mounts Drew but they get back up and the brawl continues. Drew gets the upperhand and kicks Lashley out of the ring. Drew talks some trash as Lashley looks on from ringside.

SmackDown Superstar King Baron Corbin suddenly attacks from behind, taking Lashley up on his offer. Drew fights back but Corbin gets the upperhand and drives him into the mat. Drew fights back and hits a belly-to-belly throw. Drew charges for a Claymore Kick but Corbin catches him with a Deep Six. Lashley enters the ring now and applies The Hurt Lock, rag-dolling Drew in the middle of the ring. Lashley drops Drew to the mat as Corbin cheers him on. Fans boo. Lashley with another Hurt Lock while Drew is knocked out. MVP says this is The Hurt Business. Lashley grabs the title and stands over Drew, yelling at him some more as fans boo. Lashley with a third Hurt Lock as fans continue to boos. Corbin yells in Drew’s face while Lashley tightens The Hurt Lock. Drew fades out to the mat and Lashley finally lets go of the hold. Lashley takes the WWE Title and raises it high in the air as his music hits. Corbin stands next to Lashley and looks up at the WWE Title as RAW goes off the air.

King Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn

Back from the break and King Baron Corbin is already in the ring. Sami Zayn is also out, wrapping up his entrance. Kevin Owens is on commentary.

The bell rings and Sami strikes first but Corbin drop him with ease. Sami goes to the ropes and the referee backs Corbin off. Sami takes control and uses the middle rope on Corbin, yelling at the referee. Sami with strikes. Corbin ducks a clothesline and hits one of his own. Corbin mounts Sami with punches now.

Corbin with a running clothesline in the corner. Sami suckers Corbin in and hits a cheap shot poke to the eyes. Sami ends up rolling Corbin up and using the ropes for leverage. The referee catches him and they have words. Sami exposes the top turnbuckle but Corbin attacks from behind.

The referee covers the turnbuckle but Sami argues with him. Corbin takes advantage and hits End of Days in the middle of the ring for the pin to win.

Winner: King Corbin

After the match, Corbin stands tall as his music hits. Owens tells Cole he saw nothing out of the ordinary against Sami. Sami argues with the referee at ringside, then asks Owens if he saw the conspiracy stuff against him. Owens defends the officiating and says Sami is just mad things didn’t go his way. Sami rants and yells while Owens tells him to let go of this. Sami walks off and Owens turns back to Cole and Graves. Sami suddenly attacks from behind with a big Helluva Kick to the head. Sami yells at Owens and keeps him down while fans boo. Sami walks off, still ranting. We go to replays. Sami blames everything on the referee as his documentary crew continues filming. Sami says Owens doesn’t want to see the truth and that’s his problem.

We go back to the ring and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E making his return as Greg Hamilton does the introduction.

Big E says he laid up in a medical facility because of Apollo Crews and the steel steps. He had a lot of time to think and he hopes Crews knows what he did, because Crews crossed the Rubicon, opened Pandora’s Box, and there’s no coming back from that, there is no sorry to fix this, you can’t put the genie back in the bottle. Apollo made Big E go biblical, he says, he now has to go Old Testament on Apollo because now it’s eye for an eye, it’s take one of mine and I’ll take two of yours, you came to hurt me and I came to maim you. Big E goes on and says beating Crews wouldn’t be enough, he has got to end Crews now.

Big E says Crews wants what is his, and that’s good because now he’s ready to give Apollo exactly what he deserves. Big E takes off some of his gear and says they don’t need to wait, they can do it tonight. He calls Apollo to the ring to get what he’s been waiting for. He starts yelling for Crews to come out but he’s not appearing. Big E isn’t surprised. He says he got all dressed up to defend his title, so that’s what he is going to do. He says if Crews won’t come get his, then he will extend an open challenge to whoever wants it. Big E tells them to come get it. The music hits and out comes King Baron Corbin.

Corbin tells Big E to calm down because he’s out here looking crazy. Corbin says he’s not dressed to fight but he has no matter tearing up this $10,000 suit… Sami Zayn interrupts and accepts the challenge, calling on his documentary crew to keep filming. Corbin says Sami can’t do this because he was just accepting the challenge. Sami says they have it on film, Corbin was not accepting. Sami says winning the title back will be the perfect ending to his documentary. Corbin and Sami argue some more on the ramp. Big E says the first person to enter the ring gets the title match. Sami rushes the ring, then taunts Corbin after making it in first. Big E attacks Sami and hits a big belly-to-belly suplex, sending Sami back to the floor on his back. Corbin stands over Sami as Big E gets ready for a fight in the ring. We go back to commercial.

King of The Ring

Baron Corbin defeated Chad Gable to become King of The Ring, on the September 16th episode of RAW. Corbin picked up the win when Gable goes to grab Corbin’s ankle but luckily Corbin holds the ropes, Gable then goes for a head-scissor, but Corbin counters into an impressive End of Days for the win.
