Heath Slater approaches Baron Corbin backstage and wants to be in the World Cup Global Battle Royal. Corbin says he appreciates the offer but Slater just isn’t any good. Corbin walks off and we go to commercial.

World Cup Global Battle Royal

We go to the ring and there are various enhancement talents in the ring waiting. Acting RAW GM Baron Corbin is out next. Corbin talks about how historic Crown Jewel will be. He plugs the WWE World Cup one-night tournament and says he could have just put himself in the tournament but he wanted to prove he belonged by winning the first Global Battle Royal. Corbin says he went all over the world to gather this group for the most star-studded battle royal ever. Corbin enters the ring and the international enhancement talents look on. He reads off a list of their names and ridiculous gimmicks. One of the characters is The Conquistador. Corbin announces himself as the representative of the United States.
The bell rings and Renee calls them all clowns. They surround Corbin ad he rocks one of them. A big brawl breaks out and Corbin gets attacked, taken into the corner. Corbin kicks them all away. The Conquistador is just sitting outside of the ring. Jobbers start getting eliminated now. Corbin finally clears the ring and stands tall as the winner, posing in the corner. Corbin calls for the bell but The Conquistador is still int he match. Corbin goes out but The Conquistador runs back in. Corbin enters and The Conquistador hits him with a trio of German suplexes. The Conquistador hits an Angle Slam next and then eliminates Corbin to win.

Winner: The Conquistador

– After the bell, Corbin looks on and can’t believe what just happened. The Conquistador dances around the ring and then takes off his mask. It’s WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. The RAW General Manager gets a big pop as the “you suck!” chants start while his music plays. Angle is going to the World Cup. We go to commercial.

Ambrose’s music suddenly hits and he goes to leave the ring but the music interrupts and out comes Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin.
Corbin says that was a really good story about brotherhood but all he hears is whining. He wonders if there’s something gnawing at Ambrose’s lunatic brain. Ambrose calls Corbin the world’s largest substitute teacher again and asks if he’s salty because he keeps trying to put The Shield down and just can’t get it done. Corbin admits they might be tough but he considers last week to be a win because The Shield didn’t run wild and the police weren’t called. Corbin is going to give Ambrose the chance to show where he stands tonight. He has three choices – he faces Rollins for his title, Reigns or his title or one-on-one with Strowman. Ambrose says Corbin can’t come out here and dangle a carrot to make him dance. Ambrose goes with option #4 – a match with Corbin. Corbin says it’s not that easy so he will make the choice for Ambrose. He will face Strowman right now.

We go to the ring and it looks like we’re going to have a WWE Universal Title match as Roman Reigns wants to put the title up. Baron Corbin comes out and says Reigns doesn’t decide when he defends the title, this is Corbin’s show. This will be a non-title match and so will Seth Rollins’ match later on. Corbin says Reigns won’t be defending the title until Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Corbin calls for the bell and Dolph Ziggler immediately attacks.

Back from the break and Baron Corbin is backstage giving props to The Authors of Pain and Drake Maverick. Corbin says he likes what he sees and tells them to keep doing what they’re doing. They shake hands and Corbin walks off.

We’re live from outside of the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado as a limousine pulls up. Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin is waiting. Stephanie McMahon steps out and Baron wishes her a happy birthday. She just stares at him as he starts singing happy birthday. Triple H steps out and Corbin stops singing. Corbin has Stephanie’s office all ready to lead her to but she says everything she can say to him, she can say it right here. Triple H walks off because this is too awkward to witness. Stephanie scolds Corbin for the job she’s done since Kurt Angle was forced to go on vacation, noting how he booked himself in a WWE Universal Title match last week. Corbin doesn’t accept the blame and comments on The Shield running wild. Stephanie says he’s lost control. She tells him to get two partners to face The Shield tonight and threatens him with his job, mentioning Angle again. Stephanie walks off.

Rollins calls Corbin out and says The Shield would like to show him how much of a problem they can be, right now.
The music hits and out comes Corbin. First Corbin wants to say his boss Stephanie is here tonight and it’s her birthday. Corbin won’t let RAW turn to madness like it has for a few weeks now as he’s putting his foot down. Corbin says he and his partners will toss The Shield around the ring and he promises he will impress his boss. Corbin says they will expose The Shield for what they are – selfish individuals. Corbin says everyone in the locker room dislikes The Shield individually and as a group. Corbin says that includes these men – Strowman’s music hits and out he comes with RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. Strowman speaks from the stage and tells Reigns to shine that title up real nice because he won’t be wearing it for very long. Braun says he can see cracks start to form in The Shield and it’s just a matter of time before they implode. Strowman says at “WWE Super Show” it will be the four of them vs. The Shield, and he doesn’t mean Corbin. Rollins cracks jokes at Braun for his math being off. Strowman says Ambrose is starting to see the light. Ziggler chimes in and says Ambrose doesn’t need The Shield but they need him. Ziggler knows how good Ambrose can be and now he has nothing but Rollins and Ambrose have everything. Rollins says that’s ridiculous. McIntyre gives Ambrose props for pushing him to his limits last week. McIntyre says Rollins and Reigns don’t appreciate Ambrose, and he deserves more. Ambrose continues trying to turn Ambrose on The Shield and Rollins tells him he’s full of it. Ziggler says Strowman is going to win Reigns’ title at WWE Crown Jewel and if Ambrose hangs with them, the Intercontinental Title will be all his. Ziggler goes on and wants Ambrose to turn his back on The Shield. Reigns interrupts and tells him to shut up. Reigns says the people didn’t pay to hear Ziggler run his mouth, they paid to watch The Shield beat them up, so let’s do it. It looks like we’re about to have a fight but Corbin runs down and gets in between as the heels reach the bottom of the ramp. Fans want the fight but Corbin says it’s not happening. Corbin says McIntyre and Ziggler have to defend tonight, and he will take care of The Shield with his partners. Braun’s music hits as The Shield looks on from the ring.

Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Dean Ambrose, Braun Strowman, Zack Ryder, Baron Corbin, No Way Jose, Titus O’Neil and many more Superstars come out to the stage and they’re bringing kids with them. Cole says this is for a special Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month segment.

The Shield vs. Baron Corbin and The Authors of Pain

We go to the ring for tonight’s main event and out comes The Shield. Dean Ambrose, WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns had to the ring through the crowd. We go to commercial as they pose for the crowd.
Back from the break and next week’s RAW will feature Lashley vs. Owens plus Riott vs. RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey in a non-title match. We go back to the ring and The Shield waits for their opponents. Baron Corbin is out next with a smirk on his face. Corbin calls on everyone to give it up for The Shield and their first match together on RAW in more than a year. Corbin says this may be their last together because we all see the breakup coming. Corbin says the entire roster was beating on his door to be his partners tonight. He introduces his partners and out come The Authors of Pain, Akam and Rezar. They are accompanied by their manager, WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick.
The match looks ready to begin but Braun Strowman’s music interrupts. Braun comes to the stage with RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. They’re all holding steel chairs. They stare down at ring before taking their seats on the stage to watch the match. Corbin starts off with Ambrose.
Ambrose takes Corbin down first and turns a hold into a quick pin attempt. Corbin turns it around but Ambrose takes him with a drop toe hold. Ambrose keeps Corbin down and rocks him. Rollins tags in for a double suplex with Rollins. Rollins with a 2 count on Corbin. Akam ends up tagging in and manhandling Rollins a bit before dropping him with a shoulder. Rollins boots Akam and Ambrose tags in. They double team Akam but turn around to the new legal man, Rezar. Rezar floors Ambrose and Rollins at the same time. Rezar scoops Ambrose but he slides out. Reigns tags in and fans give a mixed reaction as Rezar stares at him. Reigns stares back as the crowd pops. They meet in the middle of the ring and Rezar talks trash. Reigns swings first and connects. Reigns goes on but Rezar takes him to the corner for shoulder thrusts. Strowman, Ziggler and McIntyre look on from the stage.
Reigns fights back with an elbow and right hands. Reigns scoops Rezar for a Samoan Drop but can’t get him up. Reigns drops Rezar but Rezar quickly gets back to his feet and gets in Reigns’ face. All six Superstars face off in the ring now. A big brawl breaks out and The Shield clears the ring as fans pop. Strowman, Ziggler and McIntyre stand up on the stage and grab their chairs. They head to the ring with the chairs as The Shield waits. The Authors of Pain and Corbin take advantage of the distraction and attack from behind, sending Ambrose and Rollins out of the ring, into the barriers. Corbin hits Reigns with a chokeslam backbreaker combo in the ring but Reigns kicks out at 2. We go to commercial.
Back from the break and Reigns goes down with Corbin. Akam and Rollins get the hot tags and they go at it. Akam misses a shot and Rollins nails an enziguri. Rollins goes on and hits the Blockbuster as fans chant “burn it down!” at him. Rollins cranks up for the Stomp as fans do the chant again. Rollins kicks Akam instead and Corbin pulls Rollins to the floor over the top rope. Corbin tags in and rams Rollins back into the barrier. Corbin grabs Rollins and sends him into the barrier again. Rollins gets double teamed on the floor by The Authors as Drake cheers them on.
Corbin brings Rollins back into the ring and Rezar tags in. Ambrose looks on for the tag and fans chant for him. Rollins fights up out of a hold but Rezar rams him back into the corner. Akam tags in for the double team in the corner. Akam with a 2 count.
Akam with more big moves to Rollins before tagging in Corbin. Corbin takes his time with Rollins and looks down at him in the middle of the ring. Corbin knocks Reigns off the apron. Ambrose tries to come in and go at Corbin but the referee gets in between them. Rollins gets up and drops Corbin with a Slingblade. Akam comes over and pulls Ambrose off the apron. Reigns runs over and rocks Akam but Rezar makes the save. Drake watches as they double team Reigns and send him into the steel steps. The Authors drop Reigns on the floor with a Last Chapter. Corbin lifts Rollins in the ring but Rollins slides out and rolls him for a 2 count. Corbin catches Rollins with a Deep Six for a close 2 count.
Rezar tags in and Akam goes to the corner for a double team set-up but Rollins counters before they can hit it, sending one out of the ring and dropping the other. Corbin tags in and stops Rollins from tagging but Rollins counters and in comes Ambrose. Ambrose unloads on Corbin as fans pop. Corbin looks to block a Dirty Deeds attempt but Ambrose rolls him up for a pin attempt. Ambrose ends up taking out all three opponents with a baseball slide to the floor. Ambrose brings Corbin back in and goes to the top but Akam comes from the floor and crotches him, sending him to the mat. Corbin grabs Ambrose for End of Days but Ambrose punches him. Corbin runs out and right back in but Ambrose catches him with a neckbreaker. Ambrose goes to the top and hits the big elbow drop but The Authors break the pin up. Rollins and Reigns are still down on the outside, unable to help.
Reigns suddenly hits the ring with a Superman Punch to Rezar. Rollins hits Akam. Rollins with a Stomp to Corbin and a big dive. Rollins with another dive to the floor on The Authors. Ambrose ends pup hitting Dirty Deeds on Corbin in the ring. One of The Authors gets knocked back off the apron. Reigns tags in and calls for a Spear on Corbin. Reigns nails it as Corbin gets up. Reigns covers Corbin for the pin to win.

Winners: The Shield

We begin with the man who is still the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. Roman makes his way to the ring and we see highlights of what happened last night.

Roman says last night was rough and brutal and did not go to plan like he wanted. He did wake up this morning as the Universal Champion. Brock had his rematch but he did not think that Brock would kick the door down and attack him when he was out. Roman says he is right here so if you want your rematch, come out right now.

Braun Strowman’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Braun says screw this crap, you should be thankful that Brock Lesnar showed up last night because that is the only reason you still have the Universal Title. That is the second time Brock has screwed him out of the title and there will not be a third. Braun says he wants Brock and then when he is done with Brock, he will come after Roman.

Baron Corbin comes out and he says they are not going to be doing this right here right now.

Baron says last night was his first pay per view as acting General Manager of Raw. Baron says no one is more upset about what happened than him. He has been on the phone with Stephanie all day to try to work on a solution to the problem. Baron says he has one that he thinks will make everyone happy. On November 2nd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, live on the WWE Network, you will defend your Universal Title against Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar in a Triple Threat match.

Braun says he thinks that sucks. He says that Baron sucks. He says that Roman sucks. This whole situation sucks. Braun says that everyone in this arena sucks.

Paul Heyman appears on the stage and he is accompanied by the cell door. He says he is here to educate you. He mentions that his client laid waste to a monster and big dog and destroyed Hell in a Cell. Paul says he will teach you the economics called Brock-o-nomics. He says it is simplistic. The more you are worth and the bigger star you are, the more power you have, the more money you are worth in UFC. The more money you are worth in UFC, the more power you wield in UFC, the more money you can make in WWE. Nothing is more powerful than holding the Universal Championship.

Brock was the longest reigning Universal Champion and WWE signed television deals for billions of dollars and the stock went to new highs. That was until the monster and the big dog conspired to take the title from the Beast Incarnate.

That is why Brock Lesnar came back last night and why he will go to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to become the Universal Champion again where he can be the true Crown Jewel of WWE.

Braun Strowman goes up the ramp and follows Paul to the back.

Baron and Roman are still in the ring and Roman takes the mic from Baron. Baron takes the mic back and he says he doesn’t know what Roman is thinking. You may stand there like you are big and bad and he is privy to a few things, and one of them is the injury report. He knows that Roman is banged up. Don’t worry about the Triple Threat match because you might not be champion. You are going to defend the Universal Title tonight. It will be Roman Reigns versus Me.

We are back and Drew McIntyre walks in the back.  Dolph asks how is he doing.

Baron congratulates Drew on his victory.  It is one down and two to go.  You beat up Dean and Baron says he will beat up Roman.  He says the Universal Championship deserves better.  Baron asks if Dolph is going to invoke his rematch clause tonight.

Dolph says he fell off Hell in a Cell.

Baron says that Seth isn’t even here and if he invokes his rematch clause, he gets the title be default.

The announcers discuss whether what Baron said is fair.

We are back and Seth Rollins arrives at the building and he is asked about having to defend the Intercontinental Title against Dolph Ziggler.

Seth says Baron may be the acting General Manager, but someone really needs to remind Baron Corbin that this is still Monday Night Rollins.

We see Dolph Ziggler talking to Baron Corbin. Dolph says Baron told him that Seth wouldn’t be here. Baron says that Rollins lost last night. Baron tells Dolph he will win tonight. Dolph turns around and sees Seth Rollins.

Dolph tells Seth if he wants to back out he can. Seth says that he will not back out and he is ready for a fight.

Baron Corbin is talking to the referee for his match and he tells him to call the match evenly even though he controls his career.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Eight: Baron Corbin versus Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship

Corbin gets a number of near falls. Corbin with a forearm and punches. Reigns sends Corbin to the floor and then Reigns with a drive by. Reigns sends Corbin back into the ring and then Reigns misses a shoulder into the corner and hits the ring post. Corbin slides around the post and returns to the ring with a clothesline for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Corbin with the chin lock and half nelson. Reigns with punches but Corbin grabs Roman by the throat and hits a choke breaker for a near fall. Corbin mocks Reigns’ pose before returning to Roman and he connects with an elbow to the collarbone before returning to the half nelson and chin lock. Roman gets to his feet and he punches Corbin. Roman avoids a clothesline and hits two clotheslines followed by a flying clothesline. Roman looks around and it is time for some clotheslines and he connects with NeverEnding Story followed by a boot to the head.

Roman looks around and he sets for the Superman punch but Corbin goes to the floor. Roman grabs Corbin but Corbin with a punch. Reigns with a Samoan drop for a near fall. Roman sets for the Superman punch and Corbin goes to the floor again. Roman goes to the floor and he hits a Superman punch off the ring steps. They return to the ring and Reigns with the scream to set up the spear. Corbin rolls to the floor again. Roman goes back to the floor and Corbin throws a chair at Roman and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Roman Reigns (by disqualification)

After the match, Baron restarts the match as a No Disqualification Match.

The match restarts and Roman is thrown back into the ring and Baron grabs the chair and returns to the ring. Baron has the chair ready to use but Roman with a Superman Punch for a near fall. Roman sees the chair and thinks about using it.

Braun Strowman’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Baron hits Roman from behind as Braun finally gets to the ring. Strowman with a head butt and splashes into the corner. Strowman misses a shoulder into the corner and he goes to the floor. Baron slides around the post and he returns to the ring and is given Deep Six. Roman kicks out at two.

Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre make their way to the ring to check on Braun. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins come out and Roman with a Superman punch to Braun. Dean and Seth with suicide dives onto Braun and Dolph.

Roman looks around and he goes for a plancha but Corbin with a punch. Corbin runs into a spear for the three count.

Winner: Roman Reigns (retains Title)

– Back from the break and The Shield is facing off backstage with a group of police officers. Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin appears to try and calm the situation down. He says we don’t need a repeat of last week. He says The Shield has to leave the building or they will have to give up their titles and they will go to jail for a long time. Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins drop their ax handles, then walk away.

Back from the break and Baron Corbin is arguing with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose backstage. They argue that The Shield is gone for the night, they came back into the arena as just two people, Ambrose and Rollins. Corbin says they knew what he meant and this is disrespecting his authority. Corbin says he’s going to have them arrested again. They wonder if Corbin was the one who had them arrested last week. They go on and bring in the real local sheriff. He reads Corbin his Miranda rights and goes to arrest him. Corbin asks the sheriff to hold on so he can discuss this with Rollins in private. They talk as Ambrose and the sheriff walk out. Ambrose talks with the sheriff until Rollins comes walking out. Rollins laughs and says they won’t need to press charges on Corbin, at least not now. We go back to the ring and Owens waits as Tyler Breeze makes his way out.

We go backstage and Dolph Ziggler is ranting to Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre about The Shield. Baron Corbin walks in and announces McIntyre and Ziggler vs. Ambrose and Rollins for Hell In a Cell with the titles on the line. They’re not happy. Corbin says he has one big reason for making the match but it’s his first pay-per-view as Acting RAW GM and RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon wants it to be big. Corbin says Stephanie also wants Braun to win the WWE Universal Title from Reigns. Braun says that’s good but now he’s going off to hunt Reigns.

Baron Corbin sends the roster to the ring to go after The Shield and since they attack one at a time, The Shield takes care of all of them.

The Shield get on the apron and then Baron sends the rest of the roster to stop The Shield and they have the same result.

We are in the back and the Shield are being arrested and put into a police vehicle while Baron tries to talk to them and say he will fix this.

Baron Corbin is on the phone and he is getting instructions from Stephanie.

Finn says that Baron makes the matches but changes the rules.   Finn says that he thinks Baron is compensating for something with all of his power plays.  Finn wants to see who the better man is tonight.

Baron says that Finn talks a big game for a little guy.  Baron tells Finn he has his rematch and it will be in two hours in the main event.

Baron Corbin yells at a production assistant.  He wants his watch to shine and sparkle so he tells him to do it.

Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre enter.  It is a shame that the Shield got arrested but they are here for competition.  Dolph says they are not asking and this is their show now.  Dolph says he cannot invoke his rematch clause so they want a tag title match.

Baron says that the Revival already have a match.

Drew asks what happens if the Revival are not good to go.

Baron says if that happens, he will have to make other arrangements.

Braun looks at Baron and breathes deeply.  Braun suggests that Baron does his job tonight and find him some competition.

We are back and Finn Balor is in his locker room and Baron Corbin enters the room and says that with everything that is going on, you are going to have a match, but not against him. It will be against Braun Strowman.
